This episode of CBS’s NCIS LA pushes a common Michael Bloomberg theme on women and guns (Season 12 Episode 10, February 14, 2021). A woman explains to the NCIS LA agents that she has a gun for protection, but the gun was stolen. She says that she never thought that one of the people she knew would steal it, and Marty Deeks (played by Eric Christian Olsen) says in exasperation: “We never do.” His partner (Kensi Blye, played by Daniela Ruah) is making faces to show how stupid she thinks the woman is for having a gun.

I used to watch that show. It jumped the shark a couple of seasons ago.
The only thing I find odd here are people still watching the TV garbage. I guess the only people watching are likely suffering from dementia to some degree.

This theme has been played for ages on other shows. Just another unoriginal recycled plot to push an agenda. Without caring to watch this episode, the takeaway for me is to take precautions to prevent any of your firearms from being stolen in the first place, and don’t brag about owning guns. Things like that you should play it close to the vest.
The best TV shows are “Lonestar Law” and “Northwoods Law”. And of course the occasional Pawn Stars.

Nothing new. I remember 1968-1990 when every TV show had it’s anti-gun scripts. This was after the murder of Bobby Kennedy by a Palestinian Immigrant.
TV, news media, newspapers, magazines, even ordinary magazines had their anti-gun diatribes constantly hammering away at gun ownership.
Were the agent and his partner shown to be armed?
All the NCIS spinoffs have gotten very preachy of late.

There is a color Dragnet show (one through 1970) where the gun owner says I have to race to unlock the safe to get my gun to face the intruder. Bill Gannon (Harry Morgan) said “Sir, those minutes could be better spent dialing the police on your phone so we can come out.”
No line later such as “So, when seconds count the police are minutes away.”
Traitorous Demonicrat politicians and judges are working to eliminate self-defense as a justifiable reason for using deadly force to save your life and the lives of your family.
In their leftist view, if they can remove the reason for using a weapon to defend yourself and your family, there is no reason to allow Americans (especially conservatives) to legally have weapons.

Yes, it is. My wife watches it constantly when she's not listening to NPR. When I walk through I ask her ‘have they caught the White Supremacists with the Southern accents yet?’

I remember one of those Dragnet shows in which a young Chinese girl is murdered. They arrest the criminal and find the weapon, a super high-dollar COLT .45 Peacemaker Target model. And the Chinese mother says it would be best if there were no guns in the US.
Again, this country is circling the drain, and Boomers bear most of the blame.
