If it were 9 years until the crisis, it’s already too late, and we should invade China to make them stop - or deploy a lot of nuclear power, while cutting taxes and regulations on US manufacturing so that it comes to more efficient US companies instead of being driven to China where it produces 4-6 times as much CO2 to produce an item.

If a person REALLY believed this they would sell all their property along the Pacific and Atlantic coastlines. In fact, real estate prices in those places should be dropping like a rock.

The issue with the Left is never the real issue. The real issue is always their wet dream of a socialist revolution. The only “science” being utilized in the climate change argument is political science.
The global warming or climate change movement has never been about saving the planet or environmentalism or the levels of CO2 or temperature of the earth or any of the other myriad of arguments about the climate the Left uses.
The Left could care less about the climate. The climate is just a convenient vehicle or ruse they use to argue the subject to convince the stupid public of the need for economic system change. They're only real care is about the power and big government control that socialism and communism will bring them.
It's easier to convince the public we need changes to protect the climate and the earth than it is to convince them of discarding capitalism in favor of socialism.
You see, the Left's use of climate change is, and always has been, about the change of economic systems from capitalism, which is fueled by fossil fuels, to socialism (and eventually communism), which is controlled by big government.
That is why they want to get rid of fossil fuels. Not to make the air cleaner or save the planet but because it would destroy the capitalist, free-enterprise system and open the way for them to replace it with socialism.
They use this 10-12 year cycle of imminent crisis because it takes that long for people to forget what was said a decade ago. When they get to end of the cycle and their claims fail to reach fruition, they just move on and reset the cycle again to another 10-12 years, without blinking an eye, like nobody is keeping track of their BS. Well, they've done it so many times now, that people have caught on and know it's BS.
They’ve reinvented it a little now and call it the Green New Deal and the brainchild is now AO-C, as Gore has been mocked so much as to be irrelevant. John Kerry is the latest useful idiot for the Biden regime to sell it.
And if you look closely enough, you’ll see the same ruse being used with this corona virus “pandemic”. Substitute covid with climate change and you’ll see that the Left is using the virus for the same scam they’re using the climate for. Their playbook is getting stale and very recognizable lately.
