So, probably, did a lot of other smart people.
I know it’s not the same thing, but the general idea out there (outside this echo chamber) is that it’s like if Rudy went on vacation a few days after 9/11. A lot of people don’t realize this means senator beto, and possibly a cascade of Reps getting ditched in TX.
And since you’re not a US Senator no one could accuse you of dereliction of duty.
(If you were a Senator from Florida and decided to take a trip to France when a hurricane was striking I’d likewise be scorned and rightfully so.)
Go away.
Biden declared a state of emergency on Sunday.
There better be FEMA involvement all over. A ton of houses are going to be without water for awhile, pipes are bursting everywhere. I’m glad I locked in my homeowners insurance for a year the other week.
That’s assuming that “cru, r” is him. And I do.”
Ted and his wife and daughters picture is on the daily mail on the plane and at cancun. Unless he and his family have 100% body doubles.
Cruz deserves the same
GOD, FAMILY, COUNTRY. THE THREE GREAT LOYALTIES, IN ORDER!
But it seems so many ARE CONFUSED about that PROPER order.
GOVERNMENT has moved ahead of FAMILY, and EVEN GOD.
“should loudly virtue signal when there is nothing else they can do.”
He should be in the front lines to try and get federal aid down there since pig face Biden isnt going to do a GD thing.
The death toll will probably be about a hundred. IMO. Not even Nursing Homes were spared.
I live in a retirement community of about 400. I know of one death in my neighborhood so far.
Actually, it just makes twitter look like a bunch of fools.
Good lord, you're melodramatic! 3,000 Americans were murdered by foreign terrorists on 9/11. Texas is having a power outage.
You need to get a grip on yourself.
It’s not just twitter. Cruz is done for this. No chance he can get elected now and last time is was depressingly close.
He can volunteer to help with the humanitarian crisis, coordinate supporters and staff to connect constituents to churches and charities, all kinds of things. People are freezing to death
If this costs less than half a trillion to fix, especially with the tons of ruined houses/apartments from the flooding, it’ll be amazing. It’s not ‘just a storm’. It’s a one in a lifetime catastrophe. Nothing like this has ever hit outside of the coast. This is half the state this time.
Terrible optics
I disagree. If you're letting the cesspool of twitter guide your thinking, I believe you are looking in the wrong place.
Once again, what the heck does a U.S. Senatecritter have to do with power delivery in Texas (or any state)?
Even in the ice storms of the past, it was never out for days and days like it is now.
Big. Hairy. Buttocksed. Deal.
He went on vacation. The horror.
