I am so deeply saddened by this news. Our thoughts and prayers to him and his family.
RIP, Rush. Your death is like losing a member of they family. You left a huge void that can’t be filled.
Interesting thing about Ronald Reagan, he wrote a lot of his own stuff. He would put notes down on 3x5 cards. Reagan was one of the first people in the US to wear contact lenses. Before a speech he would take one contact out. He would read off his cards with one eye and look at the crowd with the other.
As far as Rush goes keep in mind he was a man who dominated a business that is sound based while he himself was deaf. Isn’t that amazing?
The world is full of small people. Romney, Schiff, Gore, Obama, Biden, Pelosi, Schumer, etc. Then there are the people who stand out front, alone, they are pinnacle of whatever they are doing with their lives. Limbaugh was such a man. There won’t be large groups of people talking about someone like Biden or Obama with love and admiration when they pass. There won’t be people lining the streets for them. But Limbaugh? He’s something special.
I can’t. The silence and reading all of the thoughts here are comforting.
Fox Radio Network on at the top of the hour news highlighted his pill problem, and getting fired from the NFL.
Dirty.
I think you speak for most of us. He really was like family. Family that never lied to you, or let you down.
The giant “lovable little fuzzball” who changed the Conservative world is gone...
Even my wife, who doesn’t like politics (or following it), liked Rush. His ability to explain what was going on, in so many instances, was phenomenal.
Prayers for Katherine and the family, and, Rush, RIP. Job well done.
The fabric of space and time has been rent asunder. Dear Lord may perpetual light shine on his immortal soul. We will never forget you Rush!!
No, I remember his words specifically, (I am hearing disabled as well) “I have lost my ability to hear, I have not lost my ability to communicate...”
Let the vermin celebrate. God will avenge us and Rush for every vile word these beasts spew.

I was still in high school when I first heard Rush (Summer of 88) going into my senior year.
Thank You Mr. Limbaugh. I will miss you profoundly.
Rush was truly a Great American and will be extremely missed.
May God rest his soul and give comfort to his loved ones and those who knew him.

This hurts so much, l lost my dear husband to lung cancer in 2019, shortly thereafter I heard Rush announce he had stage 4 lung cancer. It was like living it all over again. You see my husband use to tell me, Rush was my second husband since I listened to Rush more than him. Rush has been part of my life and sanity for 30+ years. My family loved him.
Kathryn did a brave thing announcing his passing, that showed how much love and respect she had for him. My prayers go out to you Kathryn,Bo, David, and the Limbaugh family. Rest In Peace Rush Limbaugh and thank you for the memories.

I bet when Rush got to the gates of heaven, St. Peter stopped him and while flipping through the book of life he said:
“Rush, Looks like you took out a loan from God for your talent and now that you are no longer on Earth...”
Rush slightly flabbergasted replies back:
“Oh that.... What do I have to do to repay that debt I owe to God?”
St. Peter wryly smiled and said:
“The Talent is now all yours! Because as you know, in Heaven, all Debts are forgiven!”
Rush asked:
“Well now that I am in heaven and I now own the Talent, what am I to do with my time?”
St. Peter chuckled a bit and replied:
“God has a Golden Microphone that he has reserved just for you here in Heaven and you can use it from Noon to 3pm Heaven Standard time if you want it.”
Later that day in Heaven a new Heavenly Radio show started and the host of that radio show was able to say with full confidence:
“Hello everyone, I am Rush Limbaugh coming to you from the Heavenly golden EIB microphone with Talent fully paid off on, from God!”
That's actually a VERY interesting idea...
