I am so deeply saddened by this news. Our thoughts and prayers to him and his family.
The best friend I never met...profound words. Thank you. I share in the heartbreak we are all feeling now. Rush was irreplaceable. He will rest in peace, but those of us left behind will not see peace for a very long time. I’m just glad Rush will not see what will become of his and our beloved country during Biden’s term.
Rush Limbaugh showed us how it was done.
Now that he is gone we must carry on using what we learned.
Perhaps.
He cannot be replaced.
Perhaps not so much replaced as extended?
There's purt-near 40 years of his wisdom on file. More than enough to train a Virtual Rush AI.
That AI could respond to any new insanity the left comes up with and offer insight on par with Rush himself.
It would be a little spooky, but...
The rightful president would have had all flags lowered. Biden will want to send up fireworks. :-(
ā...but one of the few constants over those years was tuning in at noon whenever I could to listen to Rush. 30 years.ā
Yes. We were blessed to have him for so long.
He was like family.
Ditto
I’m glad Trump was able to give him the Presidential Medal of Freedom while he was still alive.
Two days ago for me.
Rest in Peace Rush, and condolences and blessings to Catherine (or Katherine). I first heard him in the early 90s driving back to DC from Army leave in Indiana, he was doing something about if he could eat a dozen donuts in such a period of time. I turned him off. A couple of years later the WWRC mid-day radio show I listened to in DC (Mark Davis now out of Dallas) and give Rush a try and never turned him off again. Mark, after he left WWRC & Wash DC, served as guest host for Rush several times.
What is “amazing” is that this was known by many people from early this morning on ... and yet no “leaking” of the news. Out of adminration for Rush and respect for Catherine, it was left to her to make the public announcement. Pure class, as always, on the part of Rush and his “family”. The program today is evidence of that respect and admiration.
He has been a constant in my life from the time I first heard of him when he first went National. 22 years, my best friend.
He fought the good fight, and while we won many battles because of him, he lost his biggest battle.
R.I.P. RUSH
You will be sorely missed.
My only major problem with Rush was his love of cigars. Took him from us way too early.
There is a special place in heaven for Rush.....
Ditto’s big guy.....
I was devastated when I turned on the radio as his loving wife informed his audience. He was a true national hero who loved all of us and his country. Rush Limbaugh will live on in each and everyone of us. Are lives are better because of this man. My thoughts and prayers to his loving wife and family. I take comfort in knowing that he is with God now. Rest in peace Rush.
Yes, Rush worked for 33 years nationally to instill that in us. Thank you..
Sad. Very sad. RIP Rush.
Conservatism hangs by a thread.
Trump is out of power.
Rush’s death has cut out our tongue.
And there is no Frodo making his way to Mt Doom.
I remember the first time I heard Rush. I’m from the Sacramento area originally. I was on home from leave in 1987 when I was in the Navy. My Dad was a huge KFBK listener, which used to drive me crazy when I was in high school. Anyway, I was in the car with Dad, and Rush was on. I remember asking him, “who is this guy?” Became a huge fan years later when he moved to New York. Got to see him once at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-AM. God Bless him and his family!
So very sad, love and prayers to Catherine and his family. Lost a best friend that I never met. I’ve listened to Rush since the Clinton days. Horrible day.
I was on a military deployment in South America when Clinton won in 1992. A friend broke the news to me, and asked me if I listened to Rush Limbaugh. I’d never heard of him.
When I got back to the base a few weeks later I tuned in, and was amazed that no one had ever mentioned him to me.
I was completely amazed at how much their was to know in the world of politics, and I have Rush to thank for waking me up to it all. He more or less showed me how the democrats play their game.
Rush has been the irreplaceable voice of American conservatives for over 30 years. His legacy and influence will not be forgotten. I will miss him greatly.
