I am so deeply saddened by this news. Our thoughts and prayers to him and his family.
I first listened to Rush in 1991...and discovered Free Republic in 1999 thru his program.
God bless you, Rush! God bless his family, and especially Kathryn. I will miss you immensely. You helped save so many! You are a true American patriot!
A piece of my life gone.
He kept me company at work everyday for the last 25 years. I knew this day was coming but it still hurts. Peace out Rush.
Perhaps their greatest current nemesis has passed.
I'm sure they are feeling relief, at least.
Limbaugh, I hope the Founding Fathers were lined up at the Pearly Gates to greet you...
My heart is broken. Rush was the voice of conservatism for the last 40 years.
I agree. I listened to him because he didn't give me the answer, he gave me the tools to think in a way to see what I was missing so I could find the answer.
Oh no! Prayers for Rush & family! I’m in tears!
Rush is a National Treasure!
2020 started bad for me and got worse. 2021 is starting worse and will almost go down from here.
Very sad and he fought hard. I can only imagine the vicious vitriolic comments being made on the left, they have no respect for anything.
I think the best thing Rush did was to let all of us know that we weren't alone. Many times, long before the internet, I thought I was a rare conservative in my family and neighborhood. Rush assured us that there were millions of us, and he proved it.
Along with Ronald Reagan and Donald Trump, Rush was the most important conservative figure of this or last century.
May God welcome him. Amen.
There is no one who can replace the void left by the loss of this great man. He has done so much for so many of us including myself.
Thanks be to God for lending him to all of us.
Prayers for his family and for us and the big US of A.
I predicted that one day, Kathryn would open the show and it wouldn’t be good.
As soon as I heard the woman’s voice this morning, I knew Rush had died...
Though we all knew it was coming that doesn’t make it any easier.
RIP, Rush.
Hang in there buddy. And Al Stewart was cool.
Prayers for this tremendous human being. Contributed so much. When he went national we were on the tail end of the Reagan era with no logical next ideological leader. He was that. He inspired the 1994 House majority. 40 years of minority status before that. With that moment we knew we could win the battle of minds and advance our agenda post Reagan out of the Congress. His contributions have been infinite. Impacted millions. He will be missed incredibly by me and millions.
The Reaper waits for no one.
