Seems like the Kalifornia blackouts are now happening here in the Midwest. We had one this afternoon for two hours. Did a quick search on the phone and found there are planned blackouts all over the Midwest to conserve on natural gas. Is this the next punishment we have to endure?

I’m in Ohio and the power was down about 3 hours this afternoon. Thought it was just ice related. but who knows.
Double masking helps with gas.

The green energy mandate will be killing hundreds this winter. This is what happens when the nuclear plants get mothballed and coal gets locked in the ground.

Ban pipelines.
Build wind and solar.
Shut down perfectly good coal plants.

We haven’t had any blackouts yet, but we got an email from our gas company begging us to sit in the cold with dirty clothes and dirty dishes. The US really is turning into Venezuela.
Next we will be like Dr. Zhivago stealing pieces of wood from fences to burn for fuel. Welcome to Amerika.
Free market economy is a Trump thing. Now it is pay to play. Red states will be punished. Pipelines and frac king are out. Unless the favored illegal aliens and asylees can man them.

We are in South Texas literally on top of a major gas field, and we have been without power in 18 to 20 degree temperatures for 20 hours plus. Utility has gone radio silent, so we deplorables get power when “they” say and not a moment sooner.
I have lived here for 50 years. Cold weather has happened every few years, but blackouts have not. Texas needs to reclaim its energy supply from the green insanity coming down from on high. How about it Abbot?

Nah, he’s shutting down pipelines too! And banning fracking! Can’t have fossil fuels in a Green Economy.
I’m a little north of Dallas. We’ve been going about.....One hour on, one hour off. The gas-fired generating plants are out-pacing the delivery of natural gas and are being taken off the grid. ABC in Houston, seems like, claimed that the grid was failing. Not continued blackouts, but grid failure.
Oh, and the wind-generators are freezing up.
Southwest Power Pool went to level 3 alert which means rolling 30 or 60 minute blackouts. Unlike government spending, when energy consumption exceeds supply, something has to give.
No, there is no need for conservation of natural gas yet. Roiling blackout are caused by the green energy dependence.
During heavy winter, solar cells get covered by snow and do not generate anything. Windmills freeze and/or there is usually little wind during extreme low temperatures.
Germany has the same problem right now.
Apparently by now, we are already dependent on the whimsical green energy.
Get used to it, you need to save the Earth, so just freeze home, thinking how you are helping the Earth.
