The pledge reads: "As a key member of Task Force One Navy I will invest the time, attention and empathy required to analyze and evaluate Navywide issues related to racism, sexism, ableism and other structural and interpersonal biases.
"I pledge to be actively inclusive in the public and private spheres where I live and work, and proactively encourage others to do the same.
"I pledge to advocate for and acknowledge all lived experiences and intersectional identities of every Sailor in the Navy.
They also state that "In our Navy, like society, I&D [inclusion and diversity] must never become an afterthought."

Sadly, DoughtyOne, a lot of the folks with combat experience are already gone. What’s going on now isn’t something that started Jan 20th. It started a long time ago, with Clinton, and simmered.
Got worse, much worse, under the guy that occupied the White House before President Trump.
President Trump stopped it against a lot of opposition from both inside and outside the military.
Now, no telling whats going to happen.
Add to that that the Pajama Boys that helped elect CornPop aren’t going to join. No idea who’s going to want to serve under these conditions.
And you’re 100% right, Mary Poppins does live in the land of make believe.
Yes, I know Carter, the Clintons, Obama, and now Biden
did (or are doing) all they could (can) to destroy our armed
forces.
Reagan and Trump were able to restore some sense of order,
but with recent actions we know know the military leaders
pretty much thumbed their nose at him.
To me there’s nothing else to call it but treason.
Bingo!!!!
Military service in my family goes back to the American revolution. However, leftist fascist crap like this is why I recently told my son to under no circumstance let my grandsons join a military led by these evil and ignorant traitors. Our ancestors spit in their face!
Ableism? Hey, if you’re not an Able Seaman, WTH are you doing in the Navy?
I served 61'-64', back when the civil rights conflicts were just heating up. I remember sitting at a table in the NOB NORVA enlisted men's club having a beer with a black shipmate from Chicago. We talked for awhile, and he said "Lots of your people here, lots of my people, but no trouble, everybody getting along". He was right; we were all BLUE.
Not that there weren't a few racist @$$hole$...
USN 1967 - 1970. First Marines Danang. A$$holes will always be with us. Thank you for your service.
SO glad I proudly served in the USN 1967 to 1995! The current version is shit!
