I’ll say it: Graham did this to be seen as on the right side of convicting Trump. He wants to, but he can’t be seen that way. Going along with the Dems makes him appear open-minded so “more evidence” can heard to “change minds” ahead of a conviction. JMCO.
If I thought Senate Republicans were the kind of hard, long-game players that the Dems routinely are, I could see the logic of a drawn-out impeachment working in the People’s favor. Right now, I don’t.
