The “rules“ are indeed simply a matter of what the majority of the Senate decides the “rules“ should be.
“He’s all over the place and HUGELY inconsistent to the point that I wonder if he’s suffering from some cognitive decline issues.”
That also applies to Miss Lindsey, except what he’s suffering from is more likely PMS or menopause.
Guilty as charged here. I need to get a grasp on the technicalities of why he did it. But this is a grim situation right now.
“PDJT knew about Pence’s life being in danger and did nothing to help.”
What, exactly, was Trump supposed to do, or able to do, in that that period of time — a few minutes — to get Pence out?
“Everyone piling on Lindsey need to take a deep breath.”
“Because Lindsey Graham lied to Pres. Trump and told him if his legal team did not bring up election “Fraud”, that the impeachment trial would be over quickly...” SEE comment 83
Obviously you are unaware of the overall ‘movements’ going on by the GOPe and anti-Trumpers. Lindsey is a SNAKE.
I concur. Let it play out!
I hope the Kabuki theater goes on for months. And submarines the Dems evil agenda.
Thank you. I did find it on RSBN finally. The link I have on my desktop wouldn’t work, but it’s fine on my smart tv. Thanks again!
“McCarthy called Trump and asked him to “call off” his supporters...”
If that had happened, Trump would have then took ownership of the riot. A set up.
“How did the Pence aid know that Trump knew this information.”
Of course he didn’t know. This is their “insurance policy” today to try to rescue their sham. Another lie. Trump was speaking while Pence (allegedly) was being moved to safety; he couldn’t possibly have known. In fact, we don’t even know if hPence truly was moved. Just because they say he was doesn’t mean it’s true.
They wanted Trump to put on his Superman cape, fly into the Capitol, grab Pence and fly him to safety.

THIS!!!
“he neither looked nor sounded ‘all there.’”
Not just Cassidy. Every time Leahy opens his wrinkled mouth you know he’s either demented or drunk.
I’m sure that the people in Louisiana gave him an earful. Trump won by a pretty wide margin in Louisiana.
Opens the door to witnesses for defense. They cannot deny those having had them for themselves-— should say the full Senate vote has to have a similar response for the defense.
The fact is that Raskin and team are falling apart— they provided NO evidence other than hearsay and “sources” unnamed in an endless stream of tweets and “articles”. That is not evidence.
I seem to recall video of Trump saying to people to calm down and stay peaceful?
But that doesn’t make McCarthy’s viewpoint any more valid?
Senator Cassidy did vote "yes" on the question of whether Senate could try a former president...That is not same as voting to convict Mr. Trump...
I wish that Senator Cassidy voted "no" on that question...But, he gave no indication that he will vote to convict...That's the most important question...Not the procedural vote about trying a former president...Senator explained that he was not happy with Trump lawyers on Day one...I don't think he was the only person who complained about the poor performance by the Trump defense on Day one of the trial...
“”””Why did Graham change his vote to aye?
That’s what I’d wanna know. I hope it’s because Graham knows something about what actually happened and that the sleazebag democrats left out much of the conversation with McCarthy. Sliced and diced just like they always do.””””
Graham’s aye vote may have something to do with the rules. If a person votes aye, they can later bring up some parliamentary inquiry.
If anyone knows more, please comment.
“Reports” and “reportedly” not “sources”.
