President Joe Biden plans to create a New Deal-style “Civilian Climate Corps” to mobilize “a new, diverse generation of patriotic Americans” for the battle against climate change.
On Wednesday, Biden unveiled a flurry of executive actions his administration planned to undertake to “tackle the climate crisis at home and abroad.” The president, who campaigned for the White House last year on a platform “environmental justice,” argued the actions were necessary if the United States had any hopes of leading a “global response” to the climate crisis.
Just like we need a unified national response to Covid-19 [coronavirus], we desperately need a unified national response to the climate crisis because there is a climate crisis,” Biden told reporters at the White House when signing the executive orders into effect.
To help implement the unified national response, Biden is proposing the creation of a civilian climate corps. The program, based on the poverty-relief programs of President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s New Deal, will focus on employing individuals to work on energy-efficient infrastructure and conservation programs.

I’m not saying Trump or even Biden’s EO’s are illegal what I am saying is that we need to get rid of the current crop of politicians regardless of party and elect politicians who will represent their constituent’s rather than their bank account..
Uh, pretty sure we already lead it or are damn close to it without a lot of effort. That pedo joe huh? Could some one distract him with some likely targets?
And of course, no discussion, as far as I know, of making conditions better for building nuclear power plants (”loser pays” lawsuit reform, refusing to subsidize environ-MENTAL organizations, etc.).
No non-carbon-emitting energy policy that doesn’t include nuclear power and hydro power should be taken seriously.
Remember when Mr Obama formed a civilian police force made up almost entirely of young African American men. What ever happened to them?

Now that is a good question. For many years the US has been trending in the direction of the president having too much power. Congress doesn’t care as long as they keep getting rich and have great benefits and retirement.

They should be combatting institutional lunacy.
AmeriCorps VISTA and Peace Corps were earlier iterations of these “youth public service groups”, but they actually had a function, to bring some of the benefits of an affluent society to those who up to then had been on the outside.
The purpose of this “Civilian Climate Corps” is to “train” people in the proper obeisance to the hallowed dogmas of anthropogenic global warming, and to push the genie of widespread prosperity back into the bottle, reducing everybody to the sameness of “equality”.
In other words, this program is to TAKE AWAY the benefits once conferred upon the productive individuals in society, and reduce everybody to a level of penury suitable for a Third-World economy.
It has a nice ring of symmetry to it, doesn’t it?
The real problem is we lost the elections.
