Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) has declined to run for U.S. Senate in Ohio to replace Sen. Rob Portman (R-OH), who announced he will not seek re-election next year.
In a statement to Cleveland.com, a spokesperson for Jordan said that the lawmaker “is solely focused on representing the great people of Ohio’s Fourth District, and will not be running to fill the seat of retiring Senator Rob Portman.”

‘Maybe Kasich is interested...”
Heck no.... no think you... loser RINO
“If not Jordan for senator in Ohio, than who?”
Ohio’s next US Senator will likely be Some RINO that will act 100% conservative until they set foot in the Senate -OR- a Democrat that will act like a conservative during the campaign, but we already know how they work out.
The RINO will be overhyped by the RNC. They will demand money from people all over the country and make claims that this time, for real, they are going to win back the country and destroy all of this liberal crap once and for all so long as all of us give them cash and vote for them.
If, somehow, someone not aligned with the deep state makes it through the primary, expect their poll numbers to tank shortly after the primary. However, come election day, the Dem will somehow trail by 3 or 4% with 95%+ of the precincts counted.
Still, the Dem will manage to win the election by a margin slightly over any automatic recount thresholds thanks to some counts that are dropped at 4AM from both the Columbus and Cleveland areas.
That’ll be how elections go from this point forward. The media will manufacture reasons why this happens (mainly the new national vote by mail laws that will be enacted this year). Nobody will be allowed to question anything, and the election will simply drift away from people’s memories. After a few of these cycles, the process will seem normal to almost everyone.
That’s how things have been going for quite a while now, just not as obvious. It’s going to get even worse next year ... I’m sure their scams will not be as obvious too seeing that they were pretty much allowed to do whatever they needed this past year.
Warren Davidson-not pretty enough. Those things count. The rats will counter with a looker(female) and she will pound on him for being a white male for starters. Perhaps Jordan is another Trey Gowdy.
Did you really have to say that?
Sorry to hear this. Jordan would be a much-needed voice and vote in the U.S. House of Lords. Possibly he figured he couldn’t win a statewide race given the way Slow Joe was selected.
This 2X National Champ ought to run for President!
Perhaps.
Not even close to Gowdy...
And popularity in one congressional district does not translate into statewide appeal either.
So who else? DeWine is 74 - too old and he was a senator before. What about the lieutenant governor, Husted? What's he like?
Notice the voices demanding cleaning up the machine voter fraud, etc. are being replaced with pointless talk about running for offices.
It is not only a waste of time, but a distraction from the elephant in the room.
Why would anyone continue to vote before they FIRST stop the stealing?
Kasich would be worse than Mittens Romney.
Jim Renacci. I supported him last time around and he’s still sending me emails. Seems like his conservative credentials are in order but he’s a country club republican if I ever saw one.
I figured he was aiming to be the next Speaker when we oust Pelosi.
Husted says NO. He wants to stay at the state level.
McCarthy is in his way.
Another opportunity lost. Ever wonder why we’re called the stupid party?
Need someone who speaks for the GOP and eats like Louisiana.
Oh, another candidate for suicide on Pay Per View.
DeWine is good as Gov. Honest elections + no Rino in the senate. That’s why i think Rubio and DeSantis should run for each other’s jobs.
