Maricopa County officials on Wednesday decided to approve unanimously a plan to hire two preferred firms to audit election equipment used during the 2020 presidential election.
GOP State senators vowed to continue their push to perform their own forensic audit.

The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously on Jan. 27 to hire two firms to audit election equipment and software used in the November election, but a key member of the state Senate who has demanded access to election machines and data to conduct his own review is not satisfied.
The board acted after months of unsubstantiated claims of fraud from some Republicans who question President Joe Biden’s victory in Arizona.
The Republican-dominated board defended the accuracy of the county’s election results while acknowledging that a full audit may help dispel what members called “disinformation” about their accuracy.
Board member Clint Hickman, a Republican who has defended the results from attacks by backers of former President Donald Trump, said he welcomes the participation of the Legislature, Secretary of State and governor in the audit process.
“We don’t need to be defensive,” Hickman said. “This board has had nothing to hide.”

When there is lack of transparency in an election, can there be any explanation other than systemic fraud?
This is an honest question.
The crime scene was never secured. The evidence never quarantined. If we ever get to the machines we won’t find anything. And they will say see, legit election.

That Maricopa County Board of Supervisors has been blocking the AZ Senate for a month now.
How is that possible?
Send the damned Sgt. of Arms and State Police into secure the documents and equipment and perform the forensic review!
Had they started in November we would have the results by now, and I dare say, perhaps not a Joe Biden installed to issue dictates.

We have learned (hopefully) this past year that people who assert the power, take the power - and people who run to the media and cry about it rather than asserting their own power take second place.
I think you are thinking of Frank Carlucci (Sec Def for Reagan) who after government service for Nixon, Carter and Reagan went on to be CEO of Carlyle for many years and Chair of the Board of Directors.
They, the Maricopa Board, are not releasing election materials to the legislature because a real audit would send them to jail.
It’s that simple.
Don’t need the machines, don’t need them at all.
The physical paper ballots are what’s needed.

The reason they don’t want Jovan’s team anywhere near the ballots is because his results will expose their crime and land them in jail.
