It’s not BS, it’s just simple math. If there is a viable Patriot Party and a still viable GOP they will cannibalize each other and Democrats will dominate like they haven’t since the Great Depression.
I don't think a Patriot Party and a GOP will exist side by side. IMO the bulk of the Republican electorate, 92% of whom approve of Trump, will slowly migrate to the Patriot Party. The remaining minority establishment elites of the GOP will move to the Democrat Party and label themselves as "conservative Dems" (which is a joke because there is no such thing). The Dem party leaders will accept them, may be less than enthusiastically (at least as a show), knowing they have far more in common than not. The old GOP itself will wither away. When the dust settles there will be two parties (finally) - the MAGA party/Patriot Party/ America-First Party.. or whatever you want to call it, and the party of the DC Elite, Silicon Valley Elite, Media/ Academia/ Hollywood Elite and their coalition of various identity groups, otherwise known as the Democrat Party.
