Facebook has gone down for thousands of users in the United States and Europe on Friday night, with some unable to access the site and others reporting that porn had flooded their video feeds.

Downdetector.com which measures website problems saw the problems start to occur around 10pm EST. At least 4,800 users in the U.S. reported on Downdetector that they were unable to log in.

The most common issue appeared to revolve around those attempting to log in to the site - which they were unable to do.

why does ANY conservative still actively have a FB account. They are the enemy they HATE your guts and work to kill everything you stand for.

Hate to say it, but in some parts of the world, that’s the only free way to communicate. (It’s included free on most prepaid SIM cards).

Anything other than Facebook and YouTube will cost you at least $1 a day in data charges.

The internet is not free. The cost anywhere from $50 to $150 just to provide wireless services without any kind of TV involved. You can a cheap smartphone with free texting and long distance.

I seriously doubt most American conservatives are in another country and have no access to get to their relatives unless they use FB or Twitter c. What wireless carriers are you talking about that charge a ton of fees when you’re calling internationally? There’s also apps like face time and there’s Skype . I mean you’re finding excuses to hold on the Twitter and Facebook.

Smart, Globe, PLDT

FaceTime requires an iPhone.

Skype is not free. (Need to buy GIGAWORK 1GB package for $2 a day to use.)

I had to flee the US or be homeless as most Republicans and Democrats prefer cheap Indian H1B labor and there is no way on God’s Green Earth I would do back-breaking minimum wage labor work (all that was available in Denver), as I’m effectively locked out of the industry I’ve been in since about 1990. Physically, just can’t do it. (Lasted at Amazon a grand total of 1 day until I wrenched my back, even wearing a full lifting belt)

Wikileaks Founder Julian Assange revealed to Sean Hannity in an interview that aired Tuesday night that Clinton Campaign Chair John Podesta’s email password was “password.” As such, a 14-year-old could have hacked into the system

I have six FB accounts. They are all fake identities. I use them to sign into websites that require a sign-in ID to leave comments. They are all “friends” with each other, and they are also “friends” with all six of the fake accounts set up by a buddy of mine so we can control all 12 teams in an online sports league. LOL.

True. LOL. It does help maintain some form of anonymity, though.

Better check on where it’s headquartered. The UAE/Dubai Government will not let any VOIP or messenger app in the country/Emirate without them having the keys. 100% chance the Dubai government has the keys (as it did with the supposedly end-to-end encrypted Whats’sApp

Also, do we want a repeat of Parler?

Telegram introduced their online authorisation and identity management system, Telegram Passport, for platforms that require real-life identification. It asks users to upload their own official documents such as passport, identity card, driver license, etc. When an online service requires such identification documents and verification, it forwards the information to the platform with the user’s permission

I’ll try it, but there is a 0.000001% chance any of my contacts will, as Facebook messenger is free (no data charges)

if you’re interested, encrypted peer-to -peer messaging, email and web-browsing is on the horizon at this point...

https://zeronet.io/

https://www.deepweb-sites.com/

noteworthy that World Wide Web we all are familiar with is 4% of what is out there...supposedly

this tech could potentially “lateralize” all communications-freeing humanity from “control-nodes”(central servers today, newspaper/media editorial offices yesterday )

This tech always interests me.

We need a free app that doesn’t censor, not owned or developed by leftists or big tech, and has the popularity to replace Facebook and others. Pure exchange of ideas. Not a niche app.

Gab isn’t it, MeWe isn’t it, Parler wasn’t it. Telegram? Who knows?
