Don’t you just LOVE how they keep telling everyone to get the vaccine, yet the vaccine is not available!
Where I live, (central Ga.), people have been making hundreds of calls daily to county health departments and drugstores, trying to get a shot, with zero results.
My inlaws have been unable to get it. They are 80 and older. FIL is a Vietnam vet with numerous health issues.
an alternative while you wait is the MMR shot. they are studying it to see if it helps at all with cross reactivity. There have been interesting comparisons with the Mumps titer.
Of course, an MMR shot at that age might not be a good idea.
I got mine this week. Next up after a waiting period is the dreaded Shingles shot.
My experience here in Indiana is head for the ‘hood.
It was told at least a month wait for the vax in my town.
I called the ‘hood and I was there in 2 days.
They told me blacks and hispanics aren’t getting the vax and they have plenty of slots open.
The vaccine is property of the federal govt, so no state or local jurisdiction can deny you the vax based on residence. I read a lot of NYC folks head to FL to get it.
