McCarthy: Trump Continues to ‘Have the Ability’ to Lead and Unite the GOP
Breitbart ^ | 01/21/2021 | Jeff Poor

Posted on 01/21/2021 12:37:06 PM PST by ChicagoConservative27

Thursday, during an appearance on FNC’s “America’s Newsroom,” House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) discussed what lies ahead for the Republican Party as Donald Trump has exited the stage.

While he didn’t declare that Trump was still the leader of the party, he said he thought the former president had the ability to lead.

“If Trump starts a new party, and has 70 million followers immediately, McCarthy is OUT”

I want to see Trump announce either a new party, or joining the Constitution party, on a Monday — preferably next Monday. On Tuesday, lines will form for miles outside of Clerks’ offices as people wait to change their affiliation. (Don’t do it online; do it in person for maximum effect and photos.) By Friday, GOP will be minus 50 million, and all other parties will be minus a total of 30 million. By 2024, those 80 million will have children turning 18, so maybe 100 million voters.

Same here.

I believe President Trump will kick back for 15 minutes, check on his business empire, straighten some things out, then will get back to Making America Great Again.

I believe he will assess the current state of the Republican Party to see if there’s anything worth salvaging. He’ll contact his allies there (20-25 of them?) and discuss either moving to reform (REALLY reform!) it, or abandon it in favor of a new political party.

We’ll know as soon as he knows, and I’ll go along with whatever President Trump believes is best for the U.S.

I think this just guarantees the Dems several decades of plurality wins / EV landslides for POTUS. (ref: BJ Clinton)

It will take a long time to kill the R party, because a lot of money still flows there.

What amazes me is the thickheadedness of the RNC and its leaders, as well as their distain for the people who have supported them for years. The way in which Fox News ended up in the dumpster almost over night should have been a clue that people would do the same to them once it became clear that the politicians were duplicitous and self-serving. When at least 10 Representatives as well as Senators McConnell and Delecto turned on the President and his 74 million supporters that may well prove to be the straw that broke the camel’s back. The Republican Party will and should go the way of the Whigs. The “go along to get along” gang must be replaced.

This was said simply so they could put out more fundraising emails, that’s all. Now they’ll start all the tough anti-Biden talk as they begin to try to fool the base ahead of the 2022 elections.

I wouldn’t give a cup of water to any Republican even if their clothes were on fire. These people really think others are easily bamboozled. McCarthy loves him some Liz Cheney and now he’s a tough guy. Just like Lindsey Graham and all the rest of the cowards.

OK, McCarthy was a traitor, and I think that was a serious blow to Trump. But he’s obviously realizes he doesn’t have a snowball’s chance in hell of ever getting elected again - to anything - unless he comes around. I think a lot of people who bailed on Trump out of fear of the Dems are realizing that, politically, they have more to fear from having bailed on Trump.

Take it and use it.

You and that stupid traitor Liz could step down from leadership positions today. That would help a lot.

The GOP is going to feel what happened to FOX.

That prospect is pretty much baked into the cake at this point.

Remember this book from 2010? None were/are Conservatives. All were/are the Swamp. None should be trusted.

One thing I have not heard ANYONE speaking about are the threats obviously made against state judges, federal judges and state GOP. I want to know who was threatened and who threatened them. We need this kind of thing being drug into state courts with good conservative judges. I know this happened and we need to be slamming cell doors behind these thugs.

We can start turning some of this tide NOW. Doesn’t need to wait.

Yeah, and I remember when the Republicans all looked us square in the eye and promised, promised, that they would repeal Obamacare.

Democrats control everything now, what do I care if every last Republican goes down in flames, as they richly deserve?

Too late, you cast your lot with you Democrat and MSM brethren. I will no longer be the Republican's battered spouse.

We need a convention of states. Trump had his usefulness. Trump cannot unite the GOP to indo the Mercenaries identity politics infected Nazi FBI. The courts and government are not legitimate and not recognizable, on both language and vote fraud pre-murder eggregious activities.

I keep getting emails from the RNC. I’ve unsubscribed to no avail. With each email I send back a nasty reply even though I doubt they’ll read it. It makes me feel good.
