I would prefer to see President Trump get behind a conservative action plan/committee somewhat analogous to the Soros program which supported statewide elections and appointments of lib-friendly Attorneys General and Secretaries of State. Competing at the national party level is diverting attention away from the states where the real power over elections and party nominees resides.

I am not very good at building a great long speech here because so many do so a lot better than me so I will dive into this as a partial set of considerations regarding the Republican party and its future.

The family has come up with a figure and after reading many posts I think it is a good baseline to start with but first a few words on the tear jerking poor Republican party snow job help us OP.

The republican party is DOA and that is being kind as a description. So what are we to do about it going forward? We have read a lot of interesting ideas but they all seem to revolve around two main bodies of presentation.

Keep the party and try and influence it to do what we need and follow the will of the Voters, or we start a new Party. The Patriot Party has a lot of people thinking it is a very descriptive name. We think if covers every American, of any political persuasion. You are either Patriotic or you are not and it is a very clear definition. No fluff or changeable ideology hidden in its name, just Patriotic.

After the demise of the Whigs it took one year only to dump them and have a new party (guess which one) up and running and winning seats in the next election, One year. So those who think it is impossible I point to history. So what would happen if we became a third Party.?

OMG the number of posts I have read and honestly had a good laugh at some and almost cried at others. Lets see, we will not fall into an abyss if we start a third party, really, we are missing the very clever hidden secret with the Rep Party and demo-tyrant folks and it is very well hidden in everything we have read or listened too.

We,us,YOU have a ready made third party, yes you heard it right here, so now to the numbers and things I am not really good at, but I shall give it a go. The republicans think they have a base, NO, not any more, and if we look at all the figures everyone seems to have that differ I am going to use 70 Million PEOPLE of a combined voting block that voted for our President and not the totalitarians.

How do we fund a new party, that is pretty simple, if each of those people donated $10 to the new party that would be a bank of 700 million dollars and We may not all have silver linings in our spandex gym shorts (DH just coughed a lot then and frowned) but I can bet that the way the totalitarians are busy busting up our Country the average donations overall would be in the order of about $100 per person. That’s a lot of zeros so to trim it lets call it 7 billion US Dollars. How much of a kick start do you think that would give a Political machine, it is not chicken feed.

Eldest just made a good point and so he went and looked how much does it cost for a Senate Seat?
Well to answer that I found a site that has those figures and also has some interesting comments below it. Then it struck me, why would we be focused on EVERY seat?

Why not run for the House and Senate seats that we had stolen or need to replace a RINO, those we won we will win again, so the costs associated with running in the 2022 and 2024 elections will Not be as massive as one may think. My family is now Independent, and will join the new Party, because we know it will give its best, and in a months time you can bet that a WHOLE lot more dems etc will want in on the new party as they wake up and find theirs is really the destroyer of their lives.

The truth of the matter is, the opponents to Leftism (Conservatives) are in a bind. We agree the math is bad.

A third party is not likely to work unless the one it replaces is destroyed utterly. We all know this, because now we would have two candidates chasing the same number of votes, and the other side wins. All the conservative pundits top to bottom (Dan Bongino, Bill Whittle, Rush Limbaugh, etc) I am going to guess would not support a third party. (Just a guess, overall. I know Dan Bongino doesn’t.)

But we have a major problem with or without a third party, and it isn't going away:

• LONG TERM PROBLEM: If a third party were created, that losing dynamic would go on for four, five, or six more election cycles, during which time, the other side would be cementing things in place to entrench their position, including voting laws that are “legal” on their face, but are really put in place to prevent anyone but a Leftist from getting into office.
  
  
• SHORT TERM PROBLEM PART 1: The electoral process is broken, and it isn’t going to get fixed in the next four years, although they will make every effort with solemn pronouncements of how important this is to our country, and we’ll need to fix the problems, blah, blah, blah. They won’t fix them, they will engage in election fraud, and we won’t, and there won’t be any exposure or prosecution of any fraud. In summary, the electoral process isn’t an option.
  
  
• SHORT TERM PROBLEM PART 2: Look at the people on this and other threads. There is no doubt that some of them will “come around” and participate in the rigged elections again, but here is the real problem we face: a huge number of conservatives numbering in the millions, will not participate in the electoral process going forward, and for valid and rational reasons. The Left does not have that problem, so they will lose no voters. The end result is, we lose, again. And again.
  
  Keep in mind: Even if it were only 10% of conservative voters who will refuse to participate in the fake elections (or even FAIR elections) that is all the Left needs to hold onto power. (NOTE: I think the percentage is far, FAR greater than my 'out of the hat' estimate of 10%. I think it is closer to 30%, and that is a minimum.)
  
  
• SUMMARY: The deficit we will face by splitting the party into two, versus people in one party who simply won’t vote if it stays as one (as we see here) well...it will be basically a distinction without a difference, we will suffer electorally no matter what.
  
  It looks like we are stuck on the horns of a dilemma. Usually, the only way out is to go between the horns, but in our case, that would be treating the electoral process as if it weren’t fixed and continuing to vote as if 2020 never happened.It does not make much difference either way, creating a new party, or accepting there are tens of millions of conservatives who aren’t going to vote, or who are going to vote for some other meaningless candidate. It looks bleak either way.

I think that the one key to success for this new party is to encourage the progressives to break from the Democrat Party and form their own party. A Patriot Party probably cannot win in a three-way race (Patriot, Republican, Democrat) but could in a four-way race (Patriot, Republican, Democrat, Progressive).

If you have progressive friends, encourage them to start a new party. Remind them that Quid Pro Joe has sold them out and isn't moving fast enough or far enough.
