The Rev. Dr. Michael Eric Dyson, a professor of African American and Diaspora Studies and Ethics and Society at Vanderbilt University, gave a sermon on Sunday at the National Cathedral, on the eve of the Martin Luther King Jr. national holiday, slamming America for its false claim of exceptionalism, which he said is actually worship of white supremacy.
Selected portions of the lengthy sermon, framed as what St. Paul would say to a racist America, included reaction to the attack on the U.S. Capitol that included President Donald Trump supporters:
In the wake of this carnage, many citizens claimed that what occurred at the Capitol is not America. The sad truth is that, for many people, this is the only America they know. An America that spills blood in the name of misguided patriotism. An America willing to avert its eyes from truth in the glare of baseless conspiracy. An America that worships at the altar of the Second Amendment while making an idol of weapons and betraying the Second Commandment. An America that spews disgust at the dark foreigner and harbors hatred for the brown immigrant. An America that despises as enemies those who cry out that Black Lives Matter, while waving the traitorous banner of Confederate bigotry. This is America and has been America since America became America.

What they mistakenly call “white supremacy” has benefited people of all races and creeds. That’s why so many of them have always wanted to move here.
White feminists have been devising, writing and teaching most of the revisionism against honest history on the subject. They’re the most hateful political faction in our country.

The white supremacy myth is nothing more than Critical Theory, which is at the heart of Cultural Marxism. Supremacy is actually realizing your natural abilities and doing your best to take advantage of them. It is what early man did when he rose up and walked on two legs. It is what man did to speak a language. These Postmodernists, with their political correctness, want humans reduced to the non-verbal language of grunts and squeals. They want them on all fours as beasts of burden like what existed in the era of slavery. Those who oppose them want language to enable the rise to ones best achievement; their supremacy in whatever their talents take them. They want to become astronauts, plumbers, IT techs, football quarterbacks—etc. They only want opportunity.
Those Cultural Marxists want equity, with the objective of equal outcome; only get equal poverty and slavery to an elite class.

He gave his speech in English, a language largely developed by white people.

As many of us feared and/or predicted, America could not survive the sin of electing Obama. 4 years of an outgunned Trump vs. both parties and the entire bureacratic state could not reverse it. It is now inevitable.
