They need 17 out of 50 Republicans to vote to convict. I suspect they can’t find that many.... but who knows? I’m guessing less than 10. Romney, Collins, Murkowski, Sasse, Lee, and possibly a handful more.
Depends on how much arm twisting McConnell can do. Withholding Senate GOP re-election cash is a big lever.......................
I’m guessing McConnell will convict Trump. It’s his last term in the Senate.
