A Virginia man was arrested Friday when he tried to enter a restricted area near the U.S. Capitol with unauthorized credentials, a loaded handgun, and hundreds of rounds of ammunition, according to police.
Wesley Allen Beeler of Front Royal, Virginia, was stopped by U.S. Capitol Police at about 6:30 p.m. Friday, according to a police report. He had driven up a security checkpoint at the intersection of E Street and North Capitol Street, about a half-mile from the Capitol building.
The arrest came at a time of high alert in Washington as it prepares for Wednesday’s inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden. Barriers have been erected, streets closed, and thousands of police and National Guardsmen deployed after supporters of President Donald Trump overran the Capitol on Jan. 6, when lawmakers were meeting to officially recognize Biden’s win.
While one officer was checking Beeler’s credentials, another noticed that he had several “firearm related decals” on the rear windshield of his Ford F-150 pickup truck, according to a police affidavit filed in District of Columbia Superior Court on Saturday. One of the decals said “Assault Life” and had a picture of a rifle; a second decal said “If they come for your guns, Give ‘Em your bullets first.”
The officers asked Beeler, 31, if he was carrying any weapons, and he said he had a Glock pistol under the center armrest of his truck, according to the court documents. The police handcuffed Beeler and found the Glock 9mm pistol -- with a loaded 17-round high capacity magazine -- that had a bullet loaded into its firing chamber and the safety off.

Well, which is it, in plain sight or under the arm rest?
“ The shotgun shells and the pistol were both described in the police affidavit as having been in plain sight.”
Or
“ The officers asked Beeler, 31, if he was carrying any weapons, and he said he had a Glock pistol under the center armrest of his truck, according to the court documents.”
How do you drive up a security point? Sounds kinky.
This will be a good case to get publicity around DC’s unconstitutional gun laws. I hope he can get good representation.
Jeez... That's only 5 boxes of the Winchester White Box "value packs" from the Wal-Market. That's nothing.
I read that some of the bullets were (gasp) Hollow Points! I’m surprised the news media did not fan this with “He had DUM-DUMS!”
If you thought that it was hard to find a roll of toilet paper last Spring... you can't even buy a single stage reloading press these days, let alone a primer, powder, brass and a projectile. So I guess it is news that this guy had “500 rounds” in his card. He must have stopped by an out of the way Walmart and got lucky.
“He must have stopped by an out of the way Walmart and got lucky.”
I was going by memories from the ancient past...back when the 100-round White Box was $22-$23. Those days are long gone...LOL He pulled from his personal stash, no doubt. Since the Wal-Mart ammo shelves are empty...I never go there anymore.
Never have anything on your car, truck, house or person that makes you a target.
Be a gray man.
Most likely a false flag, FBI or CIA set up a “nut”, provided him with the weapon and ammunition and encourage him to do this. This guy was most likely under long term psychological care and on medication. This is the Alphabet Agencies MO when the seek to “trick” these people into performing such deeds. After the Military take over of DC, they need to catch someone to avoid looking more foolish then they already do.
Exactly!
Yeah that’s the ticket
It’s almost like he was hoping to get caught. Hmmmm.
I found 500 rounds of 45 acp in my closet and wondered why I had it as my primaries are all 40’s, Barreta96, glock22,springfield XDM, I was going to sell it until I found a Taurus 1911 in my desk drawer.
Is this the guy?

They have closed dozens of roads in DC.
If He was, as reported, around N Capitol and E st, he easily could have just popped out from the 395/3rd st tunnel following Google maps or Waze and drove right into a road block.
It’s 5 blocks from the US Capitol, a block from the Amtrak station and Fox News, CNN and NBC news.
Can't send a Virginia Man to do Florida Man's job.
Made me think of the former Marine who accidentally got in the wrong lane at the San Ysidro/Tijuana border crossing and found himself in Mexico. The Obama administration made no effort to get him released so he spent months in jail in Mexico.
