DuckDuckGo is proving privacy matters. The Paoli, PA-based Google search alternative, which prides itself on its privacy policy, hit 102,251,307 total queries on Monday, the first time it has exceeded the 100 million mark.
In November 2019, DuckDuckGo reached the 50 million searches per day milestone. So it took a little more than a year to hit the 100 million mark.

They’ve been my default for 3-1/2 years, ever since the James Damore incident at Google.
There are other sites that are private searches but I keep using DDG. It is good. However, the others are probably more secure. You know...search encrypt, searx, qwant, Swisscows, yippy, and more.
I know that this is KGB controlled but I use Yandex along with google when I do a search’s that I consider politicly sensitive. I have found it helpful when information is being memory holed by big tech. I mention this becouse every one is using duckduckgo and we have the same problem there as google.
I use DDG exclusively. Don’t want my searches tainted by evil.
.
That's like Biden saying Trump is a liar and believing Dementia Joe.
quack quack
“I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised to learn that DDG is owned by Google.”
****
Maybe..
Report: Search Site DuckDuckGo Hands User Data Over to Google
https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/3908513/posts
“Granville’s search engine, Yippy.com, is one of the only search engine sites on the web that absolutely does not track users and does not sell user data.”
archive search “duckduckgo” as keyword on FR and you’ll be surprised or if you’re lazy just to go post 29
I’ve used them for at least five years. But from what I have heard, they use Bing within their searches. Vaccine Gates’ company.
agreed. considering forbes is a full on Marxist/Leninist now, I’m sure this is a call to arms for getting goduckgo banished from the internet.
lol meant duckduckgo
conservative search engine
From Wikipedia:
Looks like DDG specifically doesn't use google. Just as well.
Probably having it around is better than killing it. It isn't really a threat and it gives credibility (along with Bing) to google claiming to not be a monopoly by virtue of having competition. Crushing comparative small fry competition, on the other hand, is a bad look.
I don't think it's conservative and frankly I dont want a search engine that pushes an agenda, left or right. Just give me results and let me decide which ones I want to explore, thanks. the thing about duck duck go that made me switch was their claim (and who knows if its true) that they don't track you like Google does. Even better when I discovered they weren't pusing an evil agenda like Google.
#29 is purposeful disinformation from one of DDG’s competitors, rebroadcaston FR by a dupe. As in, somebody gullible who was easily duped. And some freepers fell for it, like some gullible people always do. And lately, FR gullibility quora is off the charts.
DDG is NOT owned by google, hates google in fact, and uses over 400 search sources for its search. It is a compilation of many, many, sub-search engines. Itis perfectly MAGA and FR safe.
And DDG is super private. No user data is storeed, sold, or used. Period.
Anything else posted on it is disinformation or stupidity.
People, do your own research!!! Look at the wiki link. Read it. Look for articles from reputable computer mags like PC and such.
This is the 3rd DDG article (at least) in the past couple days, and as usual, some freeper maroons say, “My mom heard someone say google is behind DDG” or some such idiocy.
I D O C Y.
Yeah, DDG has it’s own “WebCrawler”/Bot called “DuckDuckBot”:

I wish they had a better name: DuckDuckGo
