WASHINGTON — After last week's deadly assault on the U.S. Capitol by supporters of President Donald Trump, members of Congress are expressing something once unthinkable: that some of their own colleagues may be endangering their lives. Not in a rhetorical sense, but in a direct and immediate way.

"It's the most poisonous I've ever seen," Rep. Don Beyer, D-Va., said in an interview. "There's the overall sense that maybe if some of them have guns — and likely the ones who are more into conspiracy theories and QAnon with the pedophilic satanic rings — are we safe from them?"

Congress controls a police force LARGER THAN THE ATLANTA POLICE DEPARTMENT. Their sole job is to protect a few buildings... one of them being the Congressional Building.

I suspect if they put their minds to it they can figure out a way for the thousands of cops working for them to protect them from harm. The same drama queens fearing for their lives between their mansions and their jobs - also are the people calling for police to be de-funded in OUR cities.

Guess Congress is smart enough to protect themselves...they spend enough to protect major cities... A police force larger than Atlanta's to 'protect' fewer people than work in Atlanta for CNN...

I find the toxic rhetoric of the Democrats in Congress, in the DNC and also in the media threatening against small citizens like me. They made direct threats: AOC “secure the evidence against Trump supporters” for what sounded like Nuremberg trials for WrongVote; Joy Reid told a national TV audience that Trump supporters needed to be “disemployed and unemployed for life”; and David Atkins of the California DNC wants to send Trump voters to “reeducation camps”. These are examples of direct threats against relatively powerless persons like myself, and I will never forget nor will I ever forgive.

As to the flamboyant gay spouting projections and false accusations at others in the OP, his victims are the $170,000 per year House Reps who just abandoned all of us. Let them know what it’s it like to be treated this way by these Democrats. Maybe they can use the 14th Amendment to boot all Republicans out of their cushy chairs or force them to change party. Then the only CorrectVote will be Democrat. I just don’t feel sorry for any of them at all.
