A handful of Big Tech companies moved to take down social media platform Parler over the weekend, but it appears to have found a new company to help try to keep its website running.
On Monday, Parler registered its domain and server to be hosted by Epik, an internet webhosting company known for working with right-leaning websites. Gab, another social media platform popular with conservatives, also uses Epik. A web domain search shows that Parler is now registered with Epik.
Take that you liberal Bolsheviks
Excellent!
Thanks for posting.
Gab has horrible response times. Can Epik handle Parler as well?
California’s Silicon Valley was “right leaning” in 1988. In 1992, it took a solid leftward turn, and and it has been spiraling in that direction ever since (speaking as someone who lived in Santa Clara County for most of 1977 to 2018).
Gotta start somewhere
All these Alternative sites and hosting companies need to up their games to handle the ‘transitions’ or people will get frustrated and return to the same old standards they’re accustomed to
Parler should give Oracle a spin.
I’m sure Ellison wouldn’t mind wrestling Bezos.
Great!
Glad to see it’s getting a new lease on life.
Gab will get faster. It’s going through some growing pains is all. The owner just said they’re getting the equivalent of the population of Boston signing up every day at the moment, so everything is slow.
The thing that really sucks is that you can’t log in to Dissenter browser, which is a truly amazing idea to bring back comments where the left shut them down. I haven’t been able to get in for two days now.
For DNS it should be able to handle it fine. Epik also hosts thedonald.win and they seem to be fine. This is just for name service - not actual server hardware like AWS.
Right wing = anyone who is for free speech
Their response times were good before their traffic increased 753% practically overnight.
They’ve acquired and brought up a bunch of new hardware, but give them time to optimize it, work the kinks out, and get even more.
And if you can, spare them a buck or two.
buy Epik stock?
Translation: right wing = American. Democrat = Communist
And Ellison is moving Oracle's headquarters from Silicon Valley to Texas, and he personally is moving to Hawaii.

You would too if you have 600,000 people signing up in one day. That was yesterday. They've been working to fix the lag. I'm sure it's going to take a while because new people are signing up every day.
