I think Gab did buy their own, but according to what I read yesterday they are being slammed by so many migrations that they can’t keep up.
They started out months ago adding servers etc. in anticipation that something like this would happen. They are still installing even more servers, but it’s hard to keep up.
There has been a Texit effort seriously discussed for a number of years—I forget the name of the organization though.
So it is not inconceivable. What I don’t know is if there is a way to do this constitutionally.
Is the Insurrection Act a component of Martial Law? Is it separate from?
There’s a bill up to have a referendum vote on secession. When it will come to the floor I do not know.

Martial Law existed long before the Insurrection Act of 1807. IIRC, it was first used in the U.S. at the Battle of New Orleans, during the War of 1812 with the British. However, martial law is not unique to the United States, and has a long history in other nations.
