Sunday (tomorrow) at midnight Amazon will be shutting off all of our servers in an attempt to completely remove free speech off the internet. There is the possibility Parler will be unavailable on the internet for up to a week as we rebuild from scratch. We prepared for events like this by never relying on amazons proprietary infrastructure and building bare metal products.

We will try our best to move to a new provider right now as we have many competing for our business, however Amazon, Google and Apple purposefully did this as a coordinated effort knowing our options would be limited and knowing this would inflict the most damage right as President Trump was banned from the tech companies.

This was a coordinated attack by the tech giants to kill competition in the market place. We were too successful too fast. You can expect the war on competition and free speech to continue, but don’t count us out

Yeah, seems all of big tech (no news on Microsoft yet) is banning free speech from even its back-end infrastructure services now.

Services that cannot be replicated short of billions of dollars in new hardware and software infrastructure, which will all have to be built up from the ground.

What’s next, mobile telecoms, ISPs and web hosting services banning conservative websites? You know that’s coming.

Thanks for the update. Even if every US hosting company banned them, I expect there are plenty of foreign hosts willing to sign what might be a fat contract, going forward. Maybe under Biden, we’ll have Xi Jinping offering to provide Great Firewall technology for free, just so he can block counter-revolutionary thoughts from being transmitted over the internet.

Apps and games are forced to update on a regular basis to stay on the App Store.

Here’s on that will affect many games/ apps: Apple is forcing companies to remove device unique identifiers from their apps (mainly used with ads and in-app purchases). Of course, you can only down-publish to a certain lower iOS build versions. Hence, apps won’t work on devices not upgraded.

Apple has ways to force you to upgrade.

It is possible to access Parler from a browser.

It won't be. Amazon is turning off their access to the Amazon Web Services servers that their software runs on. Google, Apple, and Amazon have colluded to shut down another business. If only there was a government that wasn't fascist and would apply the law to end these kinds of anti-competetive actions. But we do have a fascist government that has favored businesses and the rest ones that are out of favor are to be destroyed. Just like Hitler had.

I don’t see how they can rebuilt the tech stack that they used under AWS, especially if they used any AWS services beyond than simple hosting. (Load balancing, spinning up instances and services as needed, etc)

Cloud service technology take years to development and implement.

I, on the other hand, decided to cancel my Amazon Prime account because so many at Amazon want to shut down Parler, because I know who the bad guys are.
