If he wasn't wearing that cloth mask to protect against the Covid virus like everybody else is, then it's either a bizarre fashion statement or something more sinister.........LOL!
FWIW, I have a black mask just like that one and I call it my Covid mask. I could not care less what you call yours.......
A year ago, in banks and credit unions, wearing those masks was done by people making undocumented withdrawals.
