WASHINGTON (KUSI) — The woman who was shot and killed inside the US Capitol during the protests was from the San Diego area.

KUSI News has spoken with her husband.

The woman is Ashli Babbit, a 14-year veteran, who served four tours with the US Air Force, and was a high level security official throughout her time in service.

Her husband says she was a strong supporter of President Trump, and was a great patriot to all who knew her.

Maybe we need to wait a day and see. Already there is reports surfacing that Antifa was disguised as MAGA that stormed the capital. That sounds more plausible to me.

I get weary when one of the first things that lead the story is they were a vet. Yea, yea and so was I. Just because you served doesn’t mean you are instant hero. I served with plenty that were only there for the collage reimbursement and not worth a damn.

How about lets give this story some time. It might grow legs.

I climbed up to the Eastern doors of the House side of the Capitol and entered; lots of riot-suited Cap. police standing around looking at people. Walked around inside taking video, then went around to Northern entrance where people were trying to enter a smaller doorway and getting pushed back by clouds of irritant cough powder.

The only weapon I saw in that hour and a half was a sawed-off baseball bat in someone's backpack.

I left after a flashbang went off about eight feet from me and a piece hit me in the thigh (ouch).

The crowd was loud and insistent but incredibly polite. Helping tired and overwhelmed people get away, watching out for each other, lots of laughing and carrying on. There were some rough guys with helmets and body armor, but I never once thought "antifa." Nor did I see any blows against police officers. It was more like a human wave, pushing like people trying to get into a concert.

SURPRISING numbers of women. Also teens, college-age clean cut types, nerds, old people, guys wearing coats and ties

She was climbing through window.

I'm not so sure about that. I believe she was shot to death while standing outside the door, with the shot being fired through the window in the door, which I believe had been broken at some point, possibly by the fired round.

We know the Antifa runts were active within the building. But no doubt this woman was honestly protesting the rampant election injustices.

She was inside the building doing what a lot of men that don’t have the balls to do.

Well said. This reminds me of the killing of Neda Agha-Soltan in 2009 during the protests in Tehran. RIP to an honored patriot.
