The Gold Star parents went to the Democrat Convention in 2016 and completely trashed Trump. He responded. John McLame called Trump and his supporters kooks. Trump responded. Funny how the media makes it looks like Trump just picked fights with people out of the blue, when the opposite is true.

The reality is, these people have to deal with the Romneys, McCains, Flakes, etc. in the Senate. I don't envy their jobs when there's a half-dozen 'Gang of'-style Republicans in a Senate with like 51 or whatever Republicans.

Just as I was only aware of one of these controversies, voters often have only heard one or two significant comments by a candidate. President Trump has said so many different things that it is possible for a lot of different things to be picked up and used or misused by the media. Regarding McCain, I specifically remember President Trump saying he did not consider McCain a hero, he liked people who did not get caught. Since at that time my son was, and still is, serving with Special Forces, all I could think of is how I would feel if my son was injured and captured and held under terrible conditions for 5 year, and then had to hear that comment.
Trump fired back at Wilson on Twitter, claiming she “totally fabricated” her account of his phone conversation with Myeshia.

Exactly Robert was the guy who tipped me off to this to block additional aid to families that’s all TV ran for a week and add to that the foreign aid packages at a time when businesses are going under think it’s pretty obvious Mitch knew what he was doing he wanted a Washington without Donald Trump now he’s a got a major problem on his hands

I wonder how many years of foreign aid you’d have to total up before you would eclipse the $464 billion required for the proposed one off $2000 “stimulus” checks? At least a decade, I’d bet. The $3 billion relative pittance you just listed would buy us around a $12 dollar stimulus, which is something I guess. But this is where we are as a party, $3 trillion in the red in 2020 alone, and at each other’s throats about possibly losing an election because we didn’t give out another half trillion. I’m not really sure what the purpose of all this is it this point. If this is just a spending competition, might as well leave it to the pros.

It really doesn’t matter. Saying “we’re too broke to help American citizens” while simultaneously sending billions to foreign countries is just bad politics no matter how you slice it.
McConnell has his strong points but he’s got people in his caucus who are tone deaf the GOP has a very very hard time connecting with working people and during a global pandemic where businesses are shutting down left and right he should have realized that 600 dollars was going to be laughed at

Two moslem Democrats came out at the DNC brandishing their dead son as a political tool and the problem is what, that he replied at all? Guess he should have just agreed with them, “oh yes, these two Democrats say I’m a bad person and, you know, their son was killed in action so they’re right, sorry everybody I have to drop out now and just let Hillary win.”
Seems the standard for controversies is whatever the Democrats say.
You have to remember Perdue beat Ossoff in November, the losertarian kept him under 50%. Perdue had more support than Trump, I don’t think he’s a slacker but having COVID at the end didn’t help.
