The West Virginia National Guard admitted Thursday that 42 people expecting to receive the Moderna vaccine for COVID-19 were instead accidentally given the Regeneron antibody used to treat infections.
The mistake occurred at a vaccination clinic hosted by staff at the Boone County Health Department, and all of the people who accidentally received the wrong product are being contacted by the department, the National Guard said in a statement.

Attempts to contact officials at the health department were unsuccessful.
I guess the docs, the pharmacists, the tech and nurses might have missed something? Who will get fired?
Last November, James Sutterfield, PharmD, — who worked as a pharmacist at Jacquelyn House, a care facility for people with intellectual disabilities — gave nine people shots of insulin instead of the flu vaccine. When he realized his mistake, he allegedly tried to cover it up by throwing away some of the flu vaccine.Feb 27, 2020

Last November, James Sutterfield, PharmD, — who worked as a pharmacist at Jacquelyn House, a care facility for people with intellectual disabilities — gave nine people shots of insulin instead of the flu vaccine. When he realized his mistake, he allegedly tried to cover it up by throwing away some of the flu vaccine.
The Oklahoma Board of Pharmacy voted Feb. 26 to suspend his license indefinitely, and he will no longer be allowed to give immunizations or dispense medication. He also has to attend law seminars and education classes for two years and pay a $23,400 fine, according to KFOR.
Dr. Sutterfield reportedly plans to retire in April.

IF the government were in charge of the Sahara Desert, they’d run out of sand.
I have t said you sent get life long immunity. what does that have to do with injected antibodies?
Not like that if you pay attention to what you are doing. The injected amount of vaccine is .5cc. the smallest Iv infusion i know it is 50cc 2 orders of magnitude at least. that is more than a simple error
And you’ll still get the wrong damned shot.(in West, by god, Virginia).
Forget it, Jake, it’s West Virginia. Where one can win the lottery just by KNOWING seven numbers.
Government is a harm-tautology™
Expensive mistake. Regenerate is supposed to be ~$1250 a dose.

You’re assuming that he was trying to give it as an IV. He could have just picked up the wrong vial.BTW, I’ve seen some IV prepared using a syringe to inject the fluid into a drip bag.
Also, it could have been deliberate like the numbskull who purposefully left the vaccine out overnight.
Possibly!
Oops!
btt
We will probably never know
That’s what hit me as well, unless the NG was in charge of the vials and giving out the injections which would explain their statement, I would have thought that only the hospital nursing staff would be administering injections.
Something stinks...
Could it be that it was the hospitals screw up, but they did a deal with NG to take the call because the NG has a legal immunity from being sued ?????
That seems more likely what has transpired.
