Talking to friends in the UK, I get the impression they’re not really wanting to have a bunch of tourists back any time soon. People are so freaked out, travelers are to be avoided
So, this year probably isn’t going to be a good year for tourism - again.

It’s all part of the ‘New Green Deal’
Restrictions on air, sea and ground travel is every leftist’s wet dream.

Serious as can be. I made it to 66 years old without flying so I’m not likely to start now.

Same age, same scenario. I used to kid that maybe if I got drunk I’d fly, then 9/11 happened and there wouldn’t be enough alcohol in the world to get me on a plane now. My entire family loves to fly; I, on the other hand, make my poor husband drive on vacations

My daughter flew for the first time about 5 years ago but I thought they would have to get my SIL drunk to get him on the plane. She loved it but he wasn’t impressed.

AOC and others want to completely eliminate air travel in the next 15 years. I think it's spelled out explicitly in her Green New Deal proposal. That should do wonders for the economy. /sarc

Take off is fun, like being in a really fast car. Landings not so much.

My husband has flown often on business, but on vacations the poor guy drives our RV.

Good; always despised the damn things anyway.
Had to carry one when I was working, haven’t had one since I retired and don’t ever plan on having one again!
