Anthony Quinn Warner, 63, had increasingly closed himself off prior to the bombing, neighbors told The Tennessean.
Just weeks ago, Warner built a gate in the fence, pulled his RV into the driveway, and shut the gate, neighbors told the newspaper.
It was the same vehicle authorities said Warner packed with explosives and detonated in the city on Friday, killing himself and injuring three.

Oh. Oh. I take great offense to that as an IT person:)
So was John Nash.
I knew a guy who had two PHD’s. He never watched TV. He was/has a genius IQ. He decided to study molecular biology at Harvard in his spare time. Just for something to do. This was back in the 1990’s. He ran a bed & breakfast with his wife. Made a lot of money. Put all his kids through private schools. He studied the federal tax code and figured out how to not pay income taxes. Then he decided to not pay his local property taxes. Then he joined the militia. His property was eventually raided/seized and auctioned off.
Oh no! That poor little lamb!
Oh wait, you mean "on the lam" :0)
Exactly.
People who incorrectly assume IT people are libs are usually idiots.
As a staunch conservative and IT person for 2+ decades, I can tell you for a fact most I know are conservative or libertarian.
LMBO ya know the year 2020 has acted like a crazy women and that would be her...
There was talk about 2 bombs. Was that confirmed?
If there were two bombs, how was the second bomb placed?
When we interviewed potential employees, we tried to people with outstanding technical skills who were still normal people who could work with a team without causing trouble. They were hard to find.

In my experience most IT people have no people skills and little patience helping or explaining things to non-technical personnel. They often see their role in purely technical terms and totally detached from the rest of the organization.
Yes, its hard to find good team players.
Considering what he is alleged to have done, this is not ‘odd” at all.
He was committing a crime so he didn’t want the neighbors to report on him loading up the ole RV for one last final destination.
Not odd at all.
I beg you pardon?
It is a contradiction: “liberal programmer” since programming makes heavy use of logic
lolol...yeah
i am noticing as i get older that my fingers dont type out what my head says....
Some of the smartest people I’ve known had a tendency to do strange things.
It’s pretty sad to watch. This is not the FR it once was. Has been overrun with Alex Jones type kooks
How many FBI Agents did it take to convince him to do this? and How long did it take the FBI to plan all this out??
IT people are usually libs.
I am an “IT people”, an IBM Mainframe sys prog. And I am hard core conservative. Metal head, too. I would guess that the Libs are the open systems, or distributed platforms people.

True but liberals are programmed to ignore cause and effect. They have no concept of consequences.
“A quick perusal of Reddit will disclose the large number of people who want to kill themselves. Mental health is the latest fad.”
I don’t frequent Reddit, but if what you’re saying is true that’s really sad. I just said last week, here on FR, that we really are in the midst of a pandemic — a mental health pandemic.
I agree with your post.
I worked with some genius software engineers who were incapable of normal social interaction.
You always had this vague sense that one morning you were going to listen to the radio on the way to work and hear their name mentioned in conjunction with a bizarre crime.
But they turned out some incredible algorithms and code.
“IT people have no people skills”: NOT ME!
“little patience helping or explaining things to non-technical personnel”: ME!
They often see their role in purely technical terms and totally detached from the rest of the organization: NOT ME!
