What is a person of interest? That meaningless idiotic term has zero legal definition and was invented by the criminal FBI solely to screw with Richard Jewell.
Odd how the FBI can keep some investigations quiet, but not others.
Yeah, what was wrong with the more accurate term "suspect"? The other thing that annoys me is the FBI "interviewed" the person of interest. To me that evokes Bill Buckley leaning back in a club chair having an erudite exchange of views with some political leader. What the FBI used to do was "interrogate" or at least "question" suspects and that was fine with me.
I was going to say the same thing. The FBI ruined Jewell’s life and reputation, because they were stupid and narrow minded
“What is a person of interest? “
It means they have identified someone that had an RV in the area that matches the description of the RV in question. The RV could have been stolen or it may be a coincidence that this person had a similar looking RV. That’s all.
When I was young “person of interest” meant Raquel Welch.
First time I ever heard this term was immediately after the 9/11 attacks and then Attorney General, John Ashcroft, used it in a press conference and it has been used mostly by the media to try to establish “official” lingo ever since.
