President Donald Trump reportedly informed attorney Sidney Powell this week that she will not be given a “special counsel” position to probe her unproven claims on election fraud, and she now claims that she has been cut off from speaking to the president.
Trump dropped the idea of “giving her such a formal portfolio for pursuing her conspiracy theories around voter irregularities and fraud,” The Daily Beast reported. “Asked whether Trump told Powell that she wouldn’t be ‘special counsel,’ Trump’s attorney Rudy Giuliani — who leads the president’s post-election legal team — told The Daily Beast on Tuesday: ‘Yes,’ adding, ‘she is no longer part of [our] team. She is on her own.'”
Powell later released a statement to Fox News, saying, “I have been blocked by White House counsel and others from seeing or speaking to the President since I raised the public formal findings and even more evidence of foreign interference from Iran and China.”
The news comes after Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani sought to distance himself, the president, and the president’s legal defense team from Powell this week. Giuliani’s remarks came after Powell had repeatedly been sighted at the White House in recent days, including on Friday, when she was accompanied by Lt. General Michael Flynn. The Trump campaign, at the behest of the president, distanced itself from Powell last month after she made unproven claims during a press conference that many of Trump’s frequent defenders were stunned by — including Tucker Carlson and Rush Limbaugh. The Washington Post reported that a Trump campaign official said at the time that Powell was “too crazy” to have Trump’s support.
“Let me say definitely, Sidney Powell was not part of our legal team,” Giuliani said this week. “She hasn’t been for five weeks.

As for Antrim County, that was corrected Nov. 4th and has been in the news since.

Is Sydney Powell doing anything then running her mouth on whatever TV network that would listen to her? No, that is all she is doing, don’t fall for it.
The same has been done for Lin Wood (not by the same source tho).
My belief that Karl Rove is truly concerned about how Trump is treated and perceived is below 0%. His wrapping himself in the flag of 'the President deserves better' is not credible, he hates Trump like all the GOPe / Bushies do. If he had just stopped at slamming Powell it would be bearable but weeping crocodile tears about how unfortunate this is for a man he loathes is just too much.

Sidney met with the President last Friday afternoon. That would indicate that she’s not doing “nothing.”

I doubt the President has lost faith in Powell or Lin Wood, and I doubt he thinks they are crackpots.
It’s just that that Powell and Wood have declared war on Republicans and you just can’t do that...
POTUS can go after the Republicans as he sees fit but you can’t hold together a coalition with your allies calling each other traitors.
I did not know POTUS selects or appoints SCs. Has something changed? My sense is that Powell may end up there anyway. What have we got to loose, except Daily Beast credibility (as if there were any)?
If actual history is allowed to be written, it will be intriguing to see how Powell and Wood will be remembered in 10 years. Patriots? Grifters? Something in between?

If by expert you mean Rudy then I totally disagree. Rudy is a joke and is playing way out of his league. If we were looking for a Mayor to clean up NYC again I might go with Rudy but I would never let him represent me in court. I said it before, that stuttering Public Defender in the movie My Cousin Vinny would do a better job than Rudy has done.
