Joe Biden is said to be considering cyber attacks on Russian infrastructure in retaliation for the hacks that breached 200 US federal agencies and firms.

The president-elect's team will consider several options over the country's suspected role in the unprecedented hacking of US government agencies and companies, sources have told Reuters.

The massive data breach enabled hackers believed to be from Russia's SVR foreign intelligence service to explore the networks of government agencies, private companies and think-tanks for months. Moscow has denied involvement.

President Select, The Usurper, blabs. We just need to do a better job to prevent another hack, and not dabble in foolishness

What if the Chinese did it?

I remember releases from either Snowden or Assange stating that our guys had programs for cyber-attacks which made it look as though another country, such as Russia, was the perp.

It’s a good idea. Putin has gotten away with too much for too long. We need a president who is willing to stand up to dictators and not lick their boots for cash.

Back in 2011 (Obama era)....American social media showed up in Russia for the fall legislative election. No one really grasped the implications (especially with the damage already going on in the Middle East and various governments being toppled by Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube).

The ‘gimmick’ continued on into the spring of 2012, when the Russian presidential election occurred.

After this....Putin decided enough was enough. Whether it was Obama’s team orchestrating this, or the Silicon Valley dimwits...the US got targeted, and has been on this target list ever since.

I won’t say it’s purely the Obama team, or the CIA, or the Silicon Valley dimwits themselves....but whatever they did....has triggered a cyber ‘war’ that the US cannot win in the end.

Biden may be getting advice on the ‘evil’ Putin, but this mess is eight years in the making, and it can only get worse.

This type of thing really worries me, it’s not like a Pearl Harbor Attack where everyone can plainly see the result of the attack...

A Cyber Attack is much harder to determine the damage or who or how it happened....

Curiously right about the time Biden is getting ready to take office the Russian Hysteria is cranking up with very bad result IMO.....

We should spend our time and money figuring out how it happened assuming it actually did....and stopping it going forward....

If you were China hacking us, wouldn’t you make it look like it was Russia doing it?

Let’s use common sense. WE know it is the Chinese who have hundreds of thousands of their infiltrators embedded in our country.

This Russia thing is nothing but a diversion.

Where are the hundreds of thousands of Russians embedded here?

American traitors are cooperating with the CHINESE !

Start a war with Russia ? MADNESS !

Biden is considering honey nut versus froot loops. Nothing more. He did his job, peddled his name. He’s never done anything else with his life except show his addicted son how to do the same, and not very well. He doesn’t have a clue what cyber security is.

Purely rhetorical exercise. If we’re not already in their networks, NSA isn’t doing its job. To make the penetration overt would be like telling the Germans or the Japanese that we had broken their codes. The point is to continue data collection on the sly, not engage in chest-thumping that results in discovery and termination of that data stream.
