Georgia announces signature matching review in all counties
Washington Times ^ | 17 Dec 20

Posted on 12/17/2020 3:43:49 PM PST by BlackFemaleArmyColonel

Georgia officials on Thursday caved to requests for a statewide signature matching effort after President Trump’s campaign has repeatedly asked for the study since the Nov. 3 elections.

Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger announced a statewide effort to review signatures for absentee ballots in all of the state’s 159 counties. The move is an attempt to rebuild trust in the state’s election process.

The announcement comes less than three weeks before the Georgia Senate runoff elections on Jan. 5, which will determine what party holds the majority in the upper chamber.

Mr. Raffensperger announced the partnership with the University of Georgia in a press release on Thursday. The study will analyze a random sample of signatures for mail-in ballots during November’s presidential election.

The review will take a look at the signature matching efforts used across the state and include random samples from each county.

“We are confident that elections in Georgia are secure, reliable and effective,” Mr. Raffensperger said.

“Despite endless lawsuits and wild allegations from Washington, D.C., pundits, we have seen no actual evidence of widespread voter fraud, though we are investigating all credible reports. Nonetheless, we look forward to working with the University of Georgia on this signature match review to further instill confidence in Georgia’s voting systems,” he added.

Should the Poll Watchers bring their own Enforcers?

No way!!! It is not better than nothing. It is a scam to convince the low information voters of Georgia and throughout the USA that everything was done perfectly in Georgia.

The study will analyze a random sample of signatures for mail-in ballots during November’s presidential election.

And they will report that 99.99% of the "random sample" match perfectly.

"I hope his daughter doesn’t have a boyfriend."

Come on Judy. You need to get with the program, and say "I hope his daughter doesn’t have a same-sex, LGBTQ, binary/non-binary boyfriend/girlfriend." 🤣

from what I understand, the media are present, so why aren’t they heading their news bulletins with stories about the observers being shut out of the process AGAIN?

Boloney . He is seeing his re-election chances shrink right before his eyes.

The GOP Georgia Legislature is probably finishing their pre-dinner cocktails with the GOP Governor about now.

What Georgia really needs is a full audit.

I have heard that a lot of the envelopes for mail in ballots ended up in the dumpster. A full audit should discover how many envelopes are missing. Missing envelopes means that it is impossible to try to compare signatures, and would be indicative of fraud.

Of course, no mention made as to who picked the random sample.

My opinion, they should just walk over there and watch. The poll workers would call the police. The poll WATCHERS should just lay down and force the police to carry them out.

Except for one who gets pics of it all.

I'm not in charge of them so maybe there's stuff I don't know.

Better yet, you could use the now-ubiquitous software Zoom to live broadcast, 24-7, the “verification” process to every American who wanted to join the meeting!!

But you’d only do that if you had nothing to hide.

Until outside auditing firms are employed by each side to do a full audit, this is nothing but cover up by Georgia’s GOP leadership to get them off the hot seat they created for themselves.

Kind of shock to me. Would be funny if this attempt to prove no wrong doing came up with fraud on an epic scale which there was.

Free Republic is damn near intolerable lately with nothing but negativity.

You negative nabobs seem to believe a bunch of pissed off Rs in Georgia will not be looking closely, after they’ve just been defrauded, the election and President stolen !

Buck up, peeps. This concession from the govt. establishment is big. Kemp, Raffensperger certainly don’t want fraud to be found, —as it won’t shine nicely on their administration—but it’d be worse for them to allow it again.

Yes. I’m sure the random samples are not random either. They probably select the Republican run precincts to do signature verification.

“....include random samples from each county.”

Don’t get your hopes up on this. They are not checking signatures, they are covering their posterior. Now if they checking every signature in those 159 counties, I have no problem believing them. But the term random is misleading. Will that random come from any votes in the counties or selected ones?

I was selected for drug testing every month in the military at one base for three straight years. The reason I believe is that I was so much against the use of drugs that I used to speak against them by volunteer at YMCA’s, YWCA’s, middle and high school sports and student body assemblies, and anywhere they would let me in. It ain’t hard to test someone you know is clean. It is just as easy to use selected votes that were actually real.

I could ask you several questions about your comment. But let me limit my question to this one.

If you were the GOP Secretary of State would you enter into a partnership with the University of Georgia to authenticate signatures knowing Clark County where the UGA Bulldogs reside overwhelmingly voted for Biden?
