Gov. Tom Wolf Threatens to Fine at Least 150 Pennsylvania Restaurants for Operating Despite Shutdown Orders

Pennsylvania, under the leadership of Democrat Gov. Tom Wolf (D), has threatened at least 150 restaurants with fines for operating after the governor again shut down indoor dining last week.

Last week, Wolf announced a set of mitigation strategies to curb the spread of the Chinese coronavirus, which suspends indoor dining at “bars, restaurants, breweries, wineries, distilleries, social clubs, and private catered events” until January 4, 2021. The order also prohibits private gatherings of more than ten people, though it excludes places of worship. However, it urges churches, synagogues, and mosques to “find alternative methods.” Additionally, outdoor gatherings are capped at 50, and businesses are prohibited from operating beyond 50 percent capacity.

Maine is still fairly solid conservative in the rural areas, but sadly the larger cities there went library, though there are still some solid conservatives in those places too. Lets hope they get back to their solid conservative roots

I will donate to my favorite restaurant to help them pay the fine

When all this crap started, I told the owner of the bar that I frequent, that if he got hit with a fine, that I'd be glad to write him a check to cover it.

I’m sure the fine will be less than what they would lose by staying closed.

I think it is a great crime that government can just wave the magic wand shutdown entire businesses and shrug off the loss of income for owner and employees. “””

Dean him out of his governors mansion, tar and feather, chain him to a rail and run him to the border and dump him there. Rinse repeat and the gov’t lawlessness will stop.

I’m so fed up with this moron. He’s killing so many businesses and the science is NOT on his side! 2 weeks before Christmas he closes down businesses-—what a freaking azz. There are hundreds and probably in the thousands of businesses refusing to close-—and worse are the Nazi “Karens” narking on them. I’m really at the end of my rope with these people.

I live in SW PA. Most places of business are not making a fuss about ignoring this idiot. They just go about their business. They do not want to make a lot of noise about it. They all realize that either TW does not follow his own guidance or realize his advice is worthless. Otherwise he would not have gotten sick.

The fines have been to court and are unenforceable due to the fact that if they write a citation they need to cite a law being violated. There is no actual law being violated. I’ll dig up the case. Even a traffic ticket cites the law you supposedly violate.

Good for them and the businesses that are in defiance. There is no difference between them operating “illegally” and a government agent confiscate money for no reason.

There isn’t much in the way of absolute 100 percent prevention of an airborne virus infection.
