Blue State Blues: Dirty Tricks Become Federal Law if Democrats Win Georgia
Breitbart ^ | December 12, 2020 | JOEL B. POLLAK

Posted on 12/11/2020 2:07:16 AM PST by conservative98

The Georgia Senate runoffs on January 5 will determine the fate of the country. If Democrats win both races, they will take control of the Senate and enact their radical agenda.

On the top of that list — literally, the first item — is H.R. 1, the voting “reform” legislation passed by Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) as the first order of business last year. Every single Democrat voted for it. It has been blocked by the Republican Senate, but will certainly pass if Democrats win Georgia.

H.R. 1 is called the “For the People Act,” and like many bills in Congress, it will do the opposite of what its title suggests, destroying democratic elections in this country.

As the Heritage Foundation noted in a report on the bill, H.R. 1 would force states to accept same-day registration and universal vote-by-mail; require states to allow convicted felons to vote; and allow voters to circumvent photo ID requirements in states that have them by signing sworn statements instead of providing ID.

Notably, H.R. 1 would also make signature-matching more difficult for absentee ballots. That is one of the key issues in Georgia, where the state legislature made it more difficult to reject absentee ballots due to signature mismatches, and a subsequent consent decree between Democrat pressure groups and Republican state officials made signature-matching virtually impossible.

Passing H.R. 1 would take the flaws in the Georgia presidential vote and make them federal law.

Hans von Spakovsky told the Daily Signal that “HR 1 is one of the worst bills introduced in Congress in recent memory.” He added that its new regulations would make it more difficult for Americans to participate in elections. “Many parts of it are unconstitutional and it is full of bad and unwise provisions that will restrict free speech and grassroots political activity, as well as hamper the ability of state government to ensure the security and integrity of the election process,” he said.

Democrats never stopped trying to pass such “reforms.” In March, Pelosi used coronavirus relief legislation to propose nationwide “ballot harvesting,” the collection of unlimited number of mail-in ballots by unlicensed, unregulated operatives.

The practice, legalized by Democrats in California in 2016, is illegal in most of the rest of the country because it opens the door wide to voter fraud. It also gives control over voting to the parties instead of retaining it as a public, civic process.

The only thing that has stopped Democrats from passing these massive overhauls, which would make it much harder for Republicans to win elections anywhere, is the fact that Republicans control the Senate.

With Democratic control, and the elimination of the filibuster, the Senate could quickly approve what Pelosi pushes through the House, with Kamala Harris likely casting the tie-breaking vote. They would use that legislation to protect their majorities against a backlash in 2022.

So if you are angry about what happened in Georgia in the 2020 presidential election, the worst way to express that anger would be to stay home, or to vote for the Democrats.

You may think you are sending a message to state Republican officials, who should have prevented Democrats from abusing the system. You will send the opposite message: namely, that the Democrats have a mandate to change voting nationwide, making the abuses we saw in Georgia permanent and irreversible.

The state Republican officials who ran the 2020 election — Gov. Brian Kemp and Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger — are not on the ballot in January. The only two Republicans on the ballot are Sens. David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler — who both called on Raffensperger to resign.

You would not punish Georgia Republican officials by letting the Democrats win; rather, you would reward them. And you would allow H.R. 1 and other bills like it to pass when Democrats take over.

Oh God, it's a nightmare.

Republicans will never win another election again if SCOTUS lets us down.

You can see why the fraud was so in-your-face. All they had to do was to get Biden's vote totals more than Trump, then nothing could be done to rectify it.

I just can't believe that not a single person has been arrested for the crime of the century.

H.R. 1 is all BS. It would require a constitutional amendment. Congress cannot force election controls upon states by passing a simple majority. None of what’s in the bill is constitutional.

If they don’t get rid of those voting machines there is no way to win Georgia.

It is a nightmare.

This is the first time I’ve heard of these laws, although the article mentions that they have come up before.

But you can see now how coordinated this fraud was and how it came through Democrat central, essentially. They just carried out the bits and pieces they could at state or county level, using the Dem managed Covid panic for cover. As with any criminals, one always thinks that it’s a pity they didn’t put all that energy and ingenuity to a good use, for example, enacting policies that actually benefit the people of the United States. But that’s not the way of the left.

Instead they’re obsessed with power and are too stupid and greedy to realize that the true force behind them, China, is actually going to be the one who really holds the power.

If the Dems succeed in packing the Court, who exactly is going to tell them (or even care) that it’s unconstitutional?

I hasn’t heard about this legislation, either.

POTUS needs to retweet this article.

He needs to get his kids and the legal team to retweet this article.

Agreed. It may be patently unconstitutional, but if the Dems get in, their first order of business will be to get 10 or so new justices onto the Supreme Court, something they will be able to do very rapidly since they will control all branches of the government.

Trump should definitely call attention to this immediately.

I just can't believe that not a single person has been arrested for the crime of the century.

DA's and local judges thanks to Clinton/Bush/Obama are now either RINOs, left-wing toadies, paid off by George Soros, or all of the above.

Where I live, the term "law enforcement" has become an oxymoron. The sheriffs office tells you the crime rate in your neighborhood is practically non-existent. Despite the fact that car thefts and break-ins have been reported by the citizens who live on your very street.

Was the actual perpetrator of the Reichstag arson arrested for the crime of the 20th century?

“Republicans will never win another election again if SCOTUS lets us down.”

Trump can proclaim Marshall Law, lock up the traitors, try them and hang them.

“A people unwilling to use extreme violent force to obtain or preserve their liberty deserves the tyrants that rule them.”

The left is really turning up the heat to discourage us this morning. I almost threw up this morning when I read a Wall Street journal article “ Trump Bets on Long-Shot Texas Election Lawsuit”. Usually most of the the comments are on our side, not today. I expect the news this weekend will be to try to discourage everyone who were hopeful about the Texas lawsuit. The left also knows the big rally tomorrow in DC for Trump will be held.

Our side is to good to play dirty but desperate times call for desperate measures. With same day registration and no voter id what is stopping us from spending election day traveling from precinct to precinct? Spend the day exploring your state! Beat them at their own game.
