"We feel super confident about Fox News being able to compete in any environment going forward," Steve Tomsic said at an investor conference.
Fox Corp. chief financial officer Steve Tomsic has a warning to outgoing President Donald Trump or anyone else looking to launch a new conservative cable news network to cut into Fox News' audience share.
Loyal viewers and longtime dominance are tall hurdles to taking on the Goliath of the conservative news world.
"We don't have a hubris bone in our body, so we don't take lightly the potential for competition, whether it's the existing sort of classic MSNBC or CNN, or the sort of emerging ones like Newsmax and OANN," Tomsic told the UBS Global TMT Virtual Conference during a session that was webcast.
Trump-friendly Newsmax and One America News Network say they have picked up disaffected Fox News viewers as the president takes to Twitter to urge his fans to switch channels. And after the recent U.S. presidential election, speculation has grown about new conservative media players launching a news network to rival Fox News.

lmao
And only going to do better.great TV
The revenue from their shows fund the rest of the leftist drivel on FNC.
I thought hubris was a bone in the arm . . .
I put them all in the “untrustworthy” category. I just can’t see blindly supporting for any corporation. I know how that turns out: I read “Rollerball”. I think Newsmax, though, was not something Fox counted on and it throws Fox’s plan into turmoil. Trumpian Entropy continues!
Not a bone the whole damn hubris skeleton! I think the big tipping point for me on Fox was when Gingrich was on trying to have a discussion and when he mentioned Soros the host cut him off and refused to allow Soros to be criticized. That host and the leftwing contributor were smirking as they did it too. They can have fun splitting the diminishing leftwing audience with CNN and MSNBC but they can do it without me.

Need to pick your fights. This was an easy pick. BOYCOTT Fox, it’s easy. Just turn it off.
You are exactly right. News is on the Internet. By the time it makes it to TV it’s not news anymore.
Yep.....Pluto TV is my go to......all the conservative voices that report better than Fox.
#23. Laura Ingraham is as rude a hostess as possible. She continually interjects her own opinions while a guest is speaking, thus “breaking the scenario” of the continuity of what they are saying.
Nobody gives a good crap what she thinks while a guest is speaking. It is basic courtesy to let the guest finish what they are saying instead of interrupting it and cutting off their ending comments.
I like the rest.
Mark Levin might be leaving FOX in the future if there is a good, financially stable and content exciting alternative. If so, Hannity could follow him if he (Hannity) moves to Florida from New York. I think Mark Steyn would also join in this exodus (And he is a great radio/TV show host on his own. Imagine if he joins with Dan Bongino. We need people with guts to speak “truth to power” and tell the left and RINOS to go to hell.
We need Lou Dobbs and his fire in his soul and speech. Maria is also very good.
The big question is what would Tucker Carlson do if given a very good slot on a new news/talk network.
Thats the truth
Go Woke, Go Broke!
It is what it is.Let them find new jobs, they aint hurting.FAUX shit the bed in a big,big way and we will not support that.
Yes, they are.
Exactly
Dead to me
Alright, I’ll give ya +1 for that — lol
That will be sweet.
