Fox Corp. chief financial officer Steve Tomsic has a warning to outgoing President Donald Trump or anyone else looking to launch a new conservative cable news network to cut into Fox News' audience share.
Loyal viewers and longtime dominance are tall hurdles to taking on the Goliath of the conservative news world.
"We don't have a hubris bone in our body, so we don't take lightly the potential for competition, whether it's the existing sort of classic MSNBC or CNN, or the sort of emerging ones like Newsmax and OANN," Tomsic told the UBS Global TMT Virtual Conference during a session that was webcast.
Trump-friendly Newsmax and One America News Network say they have picked up disaffected Fox News viewers as the president takes to Twitter to urge his fans to switch channels. And after the recent U.S. presidential election, speculation has grown about new conservative media players launching a news network to rival Fox News.

Myself and my entire family were loyal to fox for more than 2 decades. No more! November third was the last day any TV in our home will ever be tuned to fox news, even after President Trump is sworn in for his second term. I have the fox channels blocked from our direct tv to prevent even accidentally tuning them in.

On November 3rd they stood with President Trump and have remained staunch supporters of him, and the President has openly acknowledged it.

Well sorry they work for the enemy so it's on them. I'm happy with NewsMax and OANN. I don't even really think about Fox anymore.
It may sound harsh but the best thing that could happen would be for them to go under. Corporate America needs to fear our wrath.

Yes. They work for a network that has been moving left, with the goal of doing the same with their audience. Watching any of them is supporting Fox News, contributing to their financial ability to achieve this goal. Hopefully, many of the above will eventually leave Fox, provided they actually believe what they say they do.
