Pennsylvania Gov. Says No Special Session Needed, ‘Time to Move on’ From Election
The Epoch Times ^ | December 4, 2020 | Charlotte Cuthbertson

Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf said on Dec. 4 that there’s “absolutely no reason” for the state legislators to call a special session to resolve election issues.

“We had a free and fair election and now it’s time to move on,” Wolf, a Democrat, wrote on Twitter.

On Dec. 3, Republican state legislators in the Keystone State called on Wolf to convene a special session to swear in new members and “organize immediately in order to be actively engaged in continued oversight of this election to ensure the integrity of the process.”

The Pennsylvania 2020 legislative session ended on Nov. 30 and doesn’t pick up again until the first week of January when new members are sworn in.

But Republican lawmakers, in their letter to Wolf, are saying the election issues are extraordinary and call for immediate action.

I’m sure he would say the same thing if Biden had seen a 750,000 vote lead disappear under a sea of “mail-in ballots” for Trump.

On Dec. 3, Republican state legislators in the Keystone State called on Wolf to convene a special session...

There's the Republican's problem right there.

The Republican legislators should NOT be asking the governor for permission to do their consitutional duty.

They themselves, should call a special session and take back their constitutional responsibility to choose electors.

What a bunch of wussies.

He’s right....if you ignore the unconstitutional ruling of the SCOP rulling over riding the legislature to count mail in ballots 3 days beyond the legislative deadline of 8 pm election day. Tthe multi thousand straight ballot vote for Biden. The fact republicans were kicked out viewimg any fraud, and the fact that several thousand mail ins came unfolded and had no envelopes, Oh and the mail ins that came in without going to through the postal service, oh and the truck driver driving in ballots from NY. Other than that, it was golden!

Heard a lawyer testifying that it is already established case law that Article II Section I gives plenary power to the the States’ Legislatures in choosing the states electors, and no matter what the state constitution says they can meet any time they damn well please in the operation of that power.

Yup!

I’m warming up considerably to the idea of sending certain persons to Gitmo. Wolf should be one of the first.

He needs to have the arrogance beaten out of him.

Republican state legislators in the Keystone State

They misspelled "the Bananastone State".

Absolutely no relief will come from PA. You can’t prove beyond any reasonable doubt fraud happened and thenPA Supreme Court and Governor will deny it. Legislature is only place in state and frankly they are too weak kneed as well. USSC is only path for any sort is remedy when it comes to PA..
Unless the state GOP were to somehow find a backbone

Their Dem controlled Supreme Court kept changing the rules as they went along

For better or worse (likely the latter) the SCOPA is elected directly.

Most voters don't have a clue and since the candidates can cross-file in the Primaries the voters don't really know their true party labels without doing some research.

Many voters simply go by ballot order or by recommendations from various unions, etc.

“The legislature doesn’t need the governor’s permission to get together and do whatever they need. In ordinary times, yes. This is part of the legislatures US Constitution mandate.”

Exactly. Any requirement for the Governor’s permission for the state legislature to assemble is null and void when it comes to the legislature’s sole constitutional duty to determine the manner in which electors are chosen.

That is correct. McPherson v. Blacker, 1892.

That is correct. There are 36, or so, states that can be called into special session WITHOUT the governors approval.

I think PA is one.

The fact republicans were kicked out viewing any fraud,

How do they go about kicking them out? Why didn’t they tell the rat 🐀 bastards. they aren’t leaving, without a physical confrontation? Some people should be requiring serious dental work about now. 😁
