Georgia-based attorney Lin Wood is getting lots of attention for urging supporters of President Donald Trump to break with the president and not vote for GOP Sens. David Perdue (R-GA) and Kelly Loeffler (R-GA) in the upcoming January 5 runoff elections.
Wood’s public comments run counter to President Trump’s own public statements and wishes, as the president has repeatedly urged his supporters to support Loeffler and Perdue and is heading to Valdosta, Georgia, on Saturday to rally with the GOP senators. Wood’s comments are also in line with what top national Democrats are pushing for, as Breitbart News has reported a national anti-Trump Democrat Super PAC called “Really American PAC” is running billboards carrying a message nearly identical to what Wood is saying.
While Wood made his comments purportedly as a self-described supporter of Trump, while donning a red “Make America Great Again” ball cap, the real story here is that Wood is by no means a Republican and there is no record in Georgia of him ever voting for President Trump—in 2016 or in 2020—in the Republican primaries. While Wood did vote in the 2020 and 2016 general elections in Georgia—there are no records in Georgia of him pulling a GOP primary ballot in 2016 or 2020, the two years President Trump was on the ticket. Ironically, in both the 2020 and 2016 general elections, state records show that Wood voted absentee—by mail—in Georgia, the same system he is now railing against.

I completely agree with you. The fact that Perdue and Loeffler are not contesting the obvious election corruption going on, which will go on in their runoffs, smells very fishy.
My statement about donating to Loeffler was kind of an aside. If they win and turn out to be backstabbers at every crucial turn I won’t lose any sleep. Nor be surprised.
I can almost understand it. People are angry...really angry. Myself, I am smoking mad about this election.
And there is a firehose of information and misinformation being sprayed at us. We are all guilty on occasion of grabbing onto a specific thing at a specific time the way a drowning man may clutch at a life preserver, only to find later that the life preserver was more of an anchor than a floatation device.
I’ve done it. And will likely do it again no matter how hard I try. But I try to avoid doing it. Lately, I simply refuse to accept nearly anything, good or bad, unless some time interval has passed, a few days, etc.
But we have people like us who clutch at hope, and others, including some on this forum, who clutch at despair the same way.
That doesn’t fit my personality. There are enough things to fill me with despair that I don’t have to swim towards and grab for it deliberately.
I honestly find that seeming affinity for despair a bit perverse. But people under pressure do things they might not normally do.
I need to state the obvious...
Lin Wood — like any attorney — is not Democrat nor Republican. They are Lizard, and it’s a party all its own, beholden to whatever party’s member will pay, or who’s lucrative settlement can be made.
Can anyone here really not know that?
Only reason republicans in minor positions gained seats is because to defeat Trump was a VERY DIFFICULT JOB. The democrats focused all their money and efforts on fraud to defeat Trump.
Once Biden/Kamala are in charge of executive, nothing can stop them. Certainly not Romney, Collins, Murky, Sasse, Rubio, and a whole bunch of others.
Only Trump has the courage to fight with 99% of media against him. Except perhaps Rand Paul & Ted Cruz no one elese has the balls.

Dont be fooled that he is interested in getting a fair outcome, as long he stays in the limelight thats what he cares about.

I’m just having a hard time seeing why it’s so important electing these two GOPers when we have sitting Republicans who do not caclulate politics that way. Most famously Graham being fine with Hillary picking our SCOTUS justices but there are many other examples. Then there was Senator Shelby defacto supporting Doug Jones in Alabama. Etc., etc.
Why are we expecting the base to care more than elected Republicans? Makes no sense. Any elected Democrat who behaved like Republicans routinely do would have a very short career.
Did you know that Lin Wood started a law firm with the mission statement of defending conservatives?
With Romney, Collins, Murkowski and a whole bunch of other RINO senators, democrats ALREADY CONTROL all 3 branches if Trump is gone.
Don’t live under any other delusions. Now we are all every man for himself. I will actually make more profits in stock market under Biden/Harris. But I care more for the country than my own profits.

My whole point to a number of people on this thread is to look at Wood’s defending people against injustice, not some selected donations to one party or the other. Even donations to Ears the Narcissist.
Powell has had some successes too - LTG Flynn. That set of actions didn’t finish because of a black robed tyrant, who maliciously left Flynn and his family (now bankrupt) twisting in the wind.
Lets not forget, 2022 is coming, and that generally goes against the party of the sitting president. If that is Biden when all this is said and done, well, the Democrats would have had two more years of Nancy let-them-eat-cake Pelosi and it could all go very badly for their party. We could end up with something like the second term of Slick Willie!
