Since then we have moved to more of a “just in time” supply chain, but with the disruptions during the Covid-19 crisis, our supply chain is actually moderately long.
The only way the Chinese could provide more “goods” would to to increase air cargo capacity through a large number of passenger jets flying to and from the US and China. Regulations are not going to change of easing rules on foreign passengers right now during the Covid-10 spike. It is only about 3 weeks of Christmas shopping season left.
The only thing that China can do is work to wreck our economy. Of course like the issue of reducing trade with the US, this will also hurt the Chinese economy. Having visited China and watched what has happened in Hong Kong, the CCP has a revolution on their hands if the Chinese economy doesn't strongly grow soon.
China is now a “paper tiger” when it comes to economic and trade wars. Chine militarily is not a paper tiger, but a tiger that is only capable of fighting certain foes in certain specific and small scale locations.
You raise a very good point. They are a desperate animal.
That said, if Biden is allowed to become president, the U.S. will no longer stand in China's way regarding its plans for world domination.
Given that the Democrats are owned by the CCP, just imagine what the Chinese can do to increase their economy.
