Sunday (Nov 22) marks the 57th anniversary of the assassination of John F. Kennedy and nearly six decades on, fascination still abounds over the details of one of the 20th century's landmark events.
The 35th American president was fatally shot by Lee Harvey Oswald shortly after midday on Friday November 22 1963 while riding in a presidential motorcade through Dealey Plaza, in Dallas, Texas.
Footage of him in the car with his wife Jaqueline and Texas Governor John Connally and his wife, has gone down in history as one of the iconic images of the age.
Most of the documents related to the killing were made publicly available under the 1992 John F. Kennedy Assassination Records Collection Act, which mandated that all the material be made public 25 years later, by October 26, 2017.
However, President Donald Trump yielded to concerns by U.S. national security and intelligence agencies. He allowed the National Archives to release a small percentage of the total—around 3,000 documents. A much larger batch was withheld at the request of the CIA because more time was needed to review the documents.

Johnson (beneficiary), Nixon (career launched by Prescott Bush), Ford (Warren Commission), Carter (Naive, carefully hemmed in by Bush at CIA), Reagan (Bush forced on him as veep) Bush again. Clinton (owned by Bush after Mena cocaine), Bush II (daddy’s boy) and Obama (wholly owned by the CIA.
Trump is the first free President we have had in 60 years besides Reagan who labored against Bush ( and Reagan was quickly shot by a Bush family friend!)
But I think they learned that even though they got away with JFK, they paid a heavy price in credibility. Almost nobody believes the Warren story. In today’s information age, they had no chance to hide a JFK event. There would be 3000 videos from every angle.
So today, much easier to trash President Trump, impede him with constant investigations, and prosecute him and his family members after he leaves.
The hallmark of the USSR was rampant corruption and internal lies. The national joke concept was that everything the government said was a lie.
Our government now is that completely corrupt and dishonest.
That seriously bodes ill for our future.

It is preposterous for the CIA to claim that 57 years was not enough time for reviewing the documents. The very fact that the CIA were and are still concerned in it at all strongly indicates:
-That the crime was NOT an exclusively domestic affair
and/or
-That their assets and evil dealings are implicated in it
Trump is not a stupid man or a cowardly lion. My inclination to give him the benefit of the doubt makes me wonder if his mistake in continuing the concealment of the remaining documents was prompted by an explicit threat to his life or family.

In the 1960’s the people didn’t know about the deep state. A few suspected it but were written off as cranks.
Most of the country now understands we have a deep state working against our interests. That will be one of the legacies of President Trump.

The skeptic/“conspiracy theorist” in me wonders if the idea for that poster wasn’t created by who knows who, to stigmatize people who ask questions. I know nothing about that band or who’s behind them. I do know that Oswald was silenced - and that’s not remotely amusing.
I’m also not amused that our government still keeps files on this case from our view.
