I hope you got the shingles vaccine. I remember in the Army, on line for shots, the guys leaving would be rubbing their arms complaining about how much it hurt. Of course it was a joke, didn’t hurt at all. Military doctors could vaccinate about 2000 soldiers an hour.

https://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/health/hospitalized-covid-19-patients-twice-as-likely-to-die-than-those-with-flu-uw-study-finds/

“The survival rate of COVID-19 has been upgraded since May to 99.8% of infections. This comes close to ordinary flu, the survival rate of which is 99.9%.”
https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3909082/posts

Do you believe the CDC’s statistics, when every medical provider and has a financial interest in making every case a covid case?

Do you believe governments when every bureaucrat gains power over you with scaremongering?

In spite of the highly suspect motivations of the “cases” statistics (which are massive false positives, see link #2 above), you still believe the on-the-take medical system and power-hungry bureaucrats.

Fine. I’ll be over here defending Western Civilization against a perpetually manufactured self-serving hysteria.

“I hope you got the shingles vaccine.”

Well, it was Aug of 1960 and all I remember was they used some kind of air pressure thingy instead of a hypodermic needle. I’ve never had shingles, not that it proves anything but if I get them now I will be blaming you.

September that they were experiencing high fever, body aches, bad headaches, daylong exhaustion and other symptoms after receiving the shots.

In other words, pretty much what I experienced from the dreaded covid. Took some tylenol, cured the fever, sounds like the vaccine is pretty much like having the 19.

I’ve never had a flu shot either

The first shot was brutal the second was nothing
Fever headache and bone pain for about 4 to 6 hours and then fine

You’ve NEVER had a vaccine?

I doubt that.

***********************************************************

You are right. I was referring to flu vaccines for those annual strains we get. I hadn’t thought of smallpox, Polio.

I’m healthy and just under 60.

I take my D, C, Zinc and Zinc ionophores. I have a stock of Azithromycin handy, and Ivermectin is literally cat heart worm medicine (see Heartgard).

Damned if I’ll get the shot.

After about 5 years of virtually no side effects among y’all millions of test guinea pigs, I’ll consider getting a shot at age 65. Not a damned minute earlier. Folks have a warped view of risks and rewards.

Hopefully it is nothing like the side-effects of the polio vaccines.

There’s a reason they cut back on those as soon as they could. It killed, and paralyzed people - just at a much lower rate than polio.

Not looking forward to the shingles vaccine.

Got mine at the same time as flu vaccine. It burned a bit for a few minutes at an annoyance level, and was sore when poked for a few days (unnoticeable when not poked). Otherwise not a big deal in my experience.

I plan to wait for a year to watch for the side-effects. If there are no fresh hordes of mutant Zombies, or bodies in the street, I will consider proceeding.

Thanks in advance to all the pioneers out there who will be testing the way.

Not getting vaccine. Never do. I keep my immune system healthy, have for the last 40 years.

As for “side effects,” the one time I got a flu shot, I got a horrible case of flu. Since then, I’ve never had flu—and that was decades ago.

My friend works as a caregiver and she’s a total believer in shots. She has to be, her clients already have compromised health. My daughter was a smoker, had a horrible case of pneumonia, on ventilator in hospital for a week a few years ago. She has to be very careful. Fortunately, she works at home and her husband does the shopping.

so I think shots are up to the individual. My doctor understands my point of view, says I’m incredibly healthy, will live to be 100.

That is assuming the vaccine ever gets widely distributed in the US. The incoming Biden advisers are really scary and want to give it to the world first and to younger populations rather than older ones because it saves more person years: https://nypost.com/2020/11/23/vaccine-plans-are-professional-and-good-to-go-unless-team-biden-screws-it-up/?utm_source=maropost&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=nypdaily&utm_content=20201124&tpcc=morning_report&mpweb=755-9181721-711682868

I immediately wonder if the strong reaction in some is the same group that is in the (arguable) .01% that would have been hospitalized from the virus?

Interesting if true.

I’ve taken every vaccine I could have gotten over time. Have to say this mRNA technology is a bit concerning.

Yikes. I was thinking of getting Prevnar 13 to protect against pneumonia, but I need to investigate more.

"“The survival rate of COVID-19 has been upgraded since May to 99.8% of infections. This comes close to ordinary flu, the survival rate of which is 99.9%.”"

Apples to oranges. The first link is comparing survival rates for a small group of hospitalized patients. The second link is conspiracy theory nonsense. The last available Infection Fatality Rate published by any authoritative source for the US is 0.65%. Source

"Do you believe the CDC’s statistics, when every medical provider and has a financial interest in making every case a covid case?"

But every case ISN'T a COVID-19 case. Deaths for all non-COVID-19 causes are at normal levels or slightly higher. Nothing is abnormally low. All the normal expected deaths in every single category are happening. Except we're over 300,000 deaths over normal for this year. Those excess deaths began appearing in March, just as the pandemic began. It's sheer lunacy to believe the two are disconnected or that the pandemic is completely made up. The response from state governments? Terrible. Have there been plenty of needless deaths? Yes, because of policies like Governor Cuomo forcing nursing homes to accept known-infected patients while providing zero assistance to contain the spread in places where vulnerable persons are. That's easily tens of thousands of deaths that didn't need to happen. BUT THEY DID HAPPEN.

"Do you believe governments when every bureaucrat gains power over you with scaremongering?"

I believe governments (particularly American ones) are largely filled with lazy, incompetent people who are incapable and unwilling to engage in a massive conspiracy the likes of which you seem to be claiming because it'd be too much work and too difficult for them. I believe President Trump when he says it's real and that his actions during the pandemic have been necessary to save many, many lives.

"In spite of the highly suspect motivations of the “cases” statistics (which are massive false positives, see link #2 above)"

Link #2 is useless because it's a bunch of nonsense. The PCR tests have an issue with false negatives, NOT false positives. The case definition for each disease varies. The CDC epidemiology manual states that one of the first tasks in dealing with an epidemic is to standardize the definition for what constitutes a case for that individual disease and what is required in order to diagnose it. PCR testing identifies specific sequences of RNA only found in SARS-CoV-2. If the PCR test comes back positive, you have SARS-CoV-2 RNA in your body. That is a case. You may not be severely ill. You may have no discernible symptoms at all. But for the case definitions of COVID-19, a PCR test demonstrating that you have SARS-CoV-2 RNA in your body is sufficient to diagnose it as a case.

"you still believe the on-the-take medical system and power-hungry bureaucrats."

I don't consider President Trump a "power-hungry bureaucrat" and I don't think you'll find many doctors willing to engage in defrauding the Federal government so their employer can get a ~2% boost in revenue. Source If your boss came to you and told you to commit fraud against the Federal government which would risk your career, your license to do your job, everything you've worked for your entire life, your only means of survival, and your freedom so his balance sheet could jump up by 2%, what would you do? Roll over?

Yeah, I didn't think so.

I’ll be over here defending Western Civilization

Hahahahahaha

Not looking forward to the shingles vaccine..I have to keep reminding myself the alternative is far far worse

I had my two Shingles shots two years ago and they didn't give me one symptom. My friends who have had the shots haven't had issues either.
