I take Vitamin C, Vitamin D, zinc and quercetin 3x per week to strengthen my immune system.

If I were to develop flu-like symptoms or test positive for COVID-19 my plan is to take vitamin C every 3 hours to bowel tolerance, increase vitamin D to 5000 IU daily, 50 mg zinc and 500 mg quercetin daily. Then I’d add a daily aspirin if my stomach can handle it. COVID-19 is associated with heart attacks, strokes and microclots, so a blood thinner like aspirin seems like a good idea. A loss of taste and smell is both a symptom of COVID and associated with a zinc deficiency, so I’d double up on the zinc if I lost my appetite.

I’m not a doctor. Your plan may differ. Dr. Fauci takes vitamin C and vitamin D daily but hasn’t added them to the official government guidelines. (Officially the government recommends NOTHING until you are hospitalized and gasping for breath.) Dr. Oz recommended Vitamin D, zinc and Vitamin C to boost your immunity, so I’m glad that word is finally getting out. Dr. Oz’s specific dosage recommendations are 1200 IU of vitamin D daily, 8 mg zinc/day for women (11 mg/day men), and 200 mg/day vitamin C. That’s before you get sick. Dr. Fauci takes 1000 mg/day vitamin C.
