Capitalizing on growing right-wing discontent with Fox News, Newsmax, a conservative-leaning news network, has recently broken a 1 million-person viewership mark for one of its programs while attracting well-known Republican to speak on its airwaves.
In a tweet published Friday evening, the Newsmax Twitter account announced, that its Thursday installment of Greg Kelly Reports averaged 1.06 million viewers at 7 p.m. that night while Fox News averaged 2.06 million views at the same hour.
The talk news program, hosted by a former Marine Corps veteran and daytime news anchor, has attracted high-profile Republican political figures of late including Trump-supporting, anti-lockdown South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem; outspoken Florida Representative Matt Gaetz; former vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin; and anti-LGBTQ author Michelle Malkin.

I hope OAN and Newsmax hire more great people and expand their coverage.
I don’t care what they say. When their rates go in the toilet and ad revenue drops way off, they’ll be unloading their expensive hosts right and left. Hopefully Newsmax can grab a couple but I don’t want to see Greg Kelly moved from his spot because of Tucker, unless his is a repeat from earlier in the day. Since I work all day, I only see it at night. I’m not big on watching on my phone.
I agree.
Newsmax, OAN, Blaze and more are free on Pluto TV. Pluto is free on my Roku -
I don’t even know where I would go to “watch” newsmax.
- -
If you have a Roku box, you can add the NewsMax channel. It’s free.
I have an LG smart TV. I just assume that precludes the need for a Roku box.
Not a big deal. I also use my computer to pull some stuff in.
...Gay Raymond can come and clean the latrines...
Raymond Arroyo is a very smart, normal, accomplished and MARRIED man, FTR.
But here is the discovery: Broadcast medium’s “hook” is the sense of immediacy. You watch it because it’s “what’s on”, and you even allow it, somewhat, to control your schedule. And yet, as I learned with the unwatched recordings, when you can watch it at your leisure, you may not ever watch it at all. That’s what I love about Streaming. You only watch what you actually want to see, not, “what’s on right now”.
You have been away from TV for a long time. It's not that way any longer. For one, most cable or satellite packages include a DVR. This is basically a hard drive that records digital programs. My wife and I seldom watch "what's on now" unless it is something like a live event (like the Masters tournament yesterday) or cooking and HGTV shows that she likes as time-wasting programs. Everything else is DVR'd (we have DirecTV) to watch when we feel like it and we zip through commercials. DVRs work better than old VHS. They have little "jump" buttons so you can "jump" 30 seconds ahead, making it easy to skip commercials. When I get home this evening, we will watch the DVR'd episode of today's Jeopardy (which I do not think is availabel to stream).
Also, many shows are available to watch "on demand", which is a lot like streaming. I also have Roku and Apple TV streaming players.
I don’t know how anyone watches Ingraham. That voice is so shrill. Plus she’s pure GOPe.
I like Tucker but he never fails to say how much he hates Trump’s tweets or some type of backhanded compliment. He obviously wants a person that he thinks is his intellectual equal; like Tulsi Gabbard. I remember him saying to a Democratic guest that if the Democrats ran a moderate candidate he would vote for them.
Haven’t watched any FOX since the election and it really feels good.
Its not like we didn’t try to warn them.
I sent them an email a year ago saying we didn’t need another MSNBC.
I have CNBC, MSNBC, CNN and now Faux de-listed from my TV channel list.
I would have to now manually re-enable it to even see Faux programming.
PoutiNG, free on Roku
On Xfinity/Comcast Newsmax is 1115. We do not get OANN yet.
Ive made the move. Might get OAN next month.
At this point the vote cheating is baked in because of the 300 law suits that removed all the vote integrity safeguards so does it matter if we have even one fair news network? Every major and dare l say relevant news org has declared there was no cheating despite overwhelming evidence. I would be surprised if most of the country has any idea just how brazen and widespread the cheating was. Hell, I think a bunch of elected Republicans don’t believe it.
Lou Dobbs is excellent. Elizabeth McDonald is good. Tucker Carlson and Hannity are also good.
Most of the other Fox people are not very good.
Cavuto, Wallace and others are terrible.
Newsmax is very good.
OAN is good sometimes.
Yep. It’s real all right. All of a sudden, Mike Lindell started buying ads...
My Twitter/Parler feeds are far more informative than anything Fox delivers. I have thousands of correspondents....they have just a few.
WE are the new media. Please understand this. If you are over 50, the world you grew up in doesn’t exist anymore. The Fake Newsers are dinosaurs and their 10 million viewers don’t hold a candle to an 80 million person tweet from DJT.
Take the blinders off......Fox has existed in a politically correct bubble for years. Our political environment is completely different than when Fox began in the 90’s
Four years of left wing/fake news bashing has turned a rag tag army of GOP followers into a battle hardened political force.
The world that birthed Fox News doesn’t exist anymore.........
Yes. I know about DVR. I almost brought it up and said the modern version of my VCR experience is DVR.
Yep - right now it reminds me of a talk radio station, just on video. They need to step up or it isn’t going to retain my attention.
Well said.
