Capitalizing on growing right-wing discontent with Fox News, Newsmax, a conservative-leaning news network, has recently broken a 1 million-person viewership mark for one of its programs while attracting well-known Republican to speak on its airwaves.
In a tweet published Friday evening, the Newsmax Twitter account announced, that its Thursday installment of Greg Kelly Reports averaged 1.06 million viewers at 7 p.m. that night while Fox News averaged 2.06 million views at the same hour.
The talk news program, hosted by a former Marine Corps veteran and daytime news anchor, has attracted high-profile Republican political figures of late including Trump-supporting, anti-lockdown South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem; outspoken Florida Representative Matt Gaetz; former vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin; and anti-LGBTQ author Michelle Malkin.

yes...and I’ve noted they’ve begun doing this.
Yes, Fox News’ swing left has had a drastic effect, for sure. However, Fox does have an ace in the hole. The best conservative commentators in the business are on Fox.
Fox and Friends both weekday and weekend mornings are solid. And theen there is Maria Bartirona, Lou Dobbs on Fox Business, add to that Tucker Carlson, Mark Levin, Hannity, Laura Ingram, Jessie Watters, Jeanine Pirro and there are several others.
OAN and Newsmax are good and I hope they grow, but they are no match for those listed. The listed are favorites of POTUS also. So I think we must support them. They have done a great job for conservatism.
I don’t even know where I would go to “watch” newsmax.
Right on their website.
If you have a Smart TV, you can download Pluto TV and watch there for free.
I think some cable systems carry it too
It looks like Fox is a little too full of themselves. Their arrogance has caught up with them.
I read recently that they looked forward to competition.
Be careful what you wish for.
Didn't Tucker, the top rated show on Fox, (have to) do a "we hear you" apology/excuse the other night?
A lot of Fox viewers were on the verge of jumping. Election eve pushed them over the edge.
Awesome, thanks for the heads up!
The best conservative commentators in the business are on Fox.
And who knows when Carlson's contract is up - he could be chained to Fox for years.
My cable provider is Spectrum. I was surprised to find Newsmax is offered.
It’s so-so, in my opinion, but I watch more for entertainment than enlightenment. None of the news programs ever get it right, so I look for raw material on stories that matter to me.
I get weary of any of the talent. Basically no patience at all on my part. I think Hannity and Tucker have heart in right place. Ingraham, I don’t trust at all, but she does draw some good guests and quite often her insights align well with my bias, so there is that.
FoxNews taking it in the shorts pleases me.
Didn't Tucker, the top rated show on Fox, (have to) do a "we hear you" apology/excuse the other night?
He said "we hear you" but failed to expand on it.
I suppose that if I felt the need to watch their stuff, I’d find it. I’m fine with reading (more like skimming) their articles. Watching is painfully slow.
You obviously have the internet, it’s free to watch on line, the link has been posted earlier in this thread.
Unless you are totally uninterested in watching them, they’re any number of ways to watch their channel without having broadcast TV...
Glad PDJT is also promoting OANN.
He should give a tweet for RSBN, too. He should give the Presidential Medal Of Freedom to Joe Seals for RSBN and its YUGE contribution to America’s freedom by covering All Things Trump. (My opinion.)
“Newsmax is included with Directv for no additional charge, they are on channel 349...”
And OANN is on channel 347.
Fox arrogance is going to cost them $400 million a year in lost advertising revenue. Poof! Gone! Never to return!
What is this ‘FOX News’ I hear tell about?......................
I agree however,.....rather than tune in Fox you can get their videos on youtube and their sites very soon after they air.
Tucker Carlson has lost 30% of his audience. It’s hard not to “hear” that.
I also have Spectrum unfortunately.
Yeah. I read their stuff. That’s good enough so far.
There is a HUGE difference between streaming and broadcast, BTW, I learned it with my Beta VCR back in the late 70’s. I would record shows to watch later, only to erase to record another show, without ever watching what I recorded. Of course, now there are all sorts of ways to do that.
But here is the discovery: Broadcast medium’s “hook” is the sense of immediacy. You watch it because it’s “what’s on”, and you even allow it, somewhat, to control your schedule. And yet, as I learned with the unwatched recordings, when you can watch it at your leisure, you may not ever watch it at all.
That’s what I love about Streaming. You only watch what you actually want to see, not, “what’s on right now”.
On a side note, I just started watching “The Expanse”. Best science fiction I’ve ever seen, even with it’s flaws. But I only watch it when I have some time to unwind. And no commercials since it’s on Amazon Prime. :)
I switched to Newsmax and AON.
