A new vaccine that protects against Covid-19 is nearly 95% effective, early data from US company Moderna shows.
The results come hot on the heels of similar results from Pfizer, and add to growing confidence that vaccines can help end the pandemic.
Both companies used a highly innovative and experimental approach to designing their vaccines.
Moderna says it is a "great day" and they plan to apply for approval to use the vaccine in the next few weeks.
However, this is still early data and key questions remain unanswered.

...and it kills or cripples the other 5%??? That's all they test for in phase 1. Not efficacy, just safety. If it killed or crippled anyone they would not have proceeded to phase 2.
Other way around - Phase 1 is efficacy. If it doesn't work it doesn't go to Phase 2. Phase 2 is to assess best dose / dose frequency. Phase 3 is safety and efficacy.
There is Phase 4 post-marketing for more safety and efficacy data.
That would be the 99.7% of the population who recover after getting Covid, including those who are asymptomatic.
Yup. If you only include those sick enough to go to a doctor it drops to 96.4%

I check off most of the high risk boxes, I think I'll take a pass on the vaccine.

“It’s 95% because we said so” is not a good enough report.
For sure-I always say that hysteria is the Liberals’ default mode.
Anyway-we can certainly expect the virus sham to continue at least until our “orgy-of-crime-election” is confirmed, one way or another.
I am certain Liberals’ chances diminish by the hour and their loss will ramp-up the virus announcements. Their hysteria will reach new heights.
BTW-The instant the MSM decided Joe won, a ‘vaccine’ was announced. Strange right? Then, after the vote fraud and all the other irregularities were exposed... the Liberals revisited their ‘doom and gloom’ scenarios.

The media and the Dems are playing much of the public. The question is can we survive this political misinformation or will something be done about it. I feel like a citizen of say Iran, the government and the media is corrupt and with election fraud there is nothing anyone can do about I without being shamed or prosecuted. It's why Trump's biggest part of his life could be after election leading us from the darkness, we do need a national leader to be effective and it ain't going to be one of the current list of GOP pansies.
Statistically speaking there should be asymptomatic people in the study and there were no adverse effects.
