A new vaccine that protects against Covid-19 is nearly 95% effective, early data from US company Moderna shows.

The results come hot on the heels of similar results from Pfizer, and add to growing confidence that vaccines can help end the pandemic.

Both companies used a highly innovative and experimental approach to designing their vaccines.

Moderna says it is a "great day" and they plan to apply for approval to use the vaccine in the next few weeks.

However, this is still early data and key questions remain unanswered.

Just so you know, you can get vaccinated but nothing will change. The lockdowns will continue because the sheepherders of bullshit have witnessed how well the sheep follow them.

The vaccine is to keep you from getting it. it help you fight it off once you have it.

Moderna is one of a few that have aborted baby cells in it.
Pfiser is the only one that doesn’t. Still need research on Pfiser for the RNA part.

This info from Catholic Radio on Saturday 910am Dallas.

not help you fight it off once you have it. I know for a lot of the population you are sick for a little while then are fine. For those that get really sick it is devastating. And no way to tell who will get really sick.

As a participant in the Moderna study, they take blood tests at every visit, the first a long visit where they took a very complete medical history and when the first shot is administered, the second a month later when the second shot is administered, and the third visit another month later with follow up questions. Eight vials of blood, some of which is tested at the time and some of which is stored for later comparisons or analysis as more testing is likely developed. I am sure they know if a participant has had it, they also did the nasal test during the first two visits. They keep tabs on whether any symptoms arise and will track for two years with questions and occasional visits.
I don’t know if I got the vaccine or placebo, but the first shot was a little sore for a few days like after a tetanus shot. Second shot no pain. No symptoms after either shot.
I started traveling quite a bit after starting the study and hope I got the vaccine due to a lot of exposure in the airports and planes. Flying about once a week.

None of the vaccines have aborted baby cells or any other kind of cells in them. some manufacturers did use aborted baby cells in the R and D phase. I have not seen a consistent list who did or did not

Moderna’s right down the street from me.Sounds like this could be good for the local economy...an economy which,in January, featured a statewide unemployment rate of 2.1% but which our Trump hating RINO Governor has flushed down the toilet. We now have the second highest unemployment rate in the country.

The Moderna vaccine does not use aborted baby cells in any way. Read up a bit more.

In other words what’s the percentage of population who is able to fight off the virus without an immunization shot?

That would be the 99.7% of the population who recover after getting Covid, including those who are asymptomatic.

Actually a good question. Most of the population survives it, but the vaccine will then take it much further. If 1% currently die from Covid, the vaccine will keep 95% of that one percent from even getting it.

And if 5% of the people taking it (or the placebos) in phase 1 were crippled or mained do you think they would be able to cover that up?

That 99% recovery rate means 1% don’t. They ultimately die. Now a vaccine saves 95% of that 1%. That is Wow.

what’s the percentage of population who is able to fight off the virus without an immunization shot?

As of 4:24 PST this morning: 1,318,884 global deaths, 35,040,737 global recoveries. That gives a recovery rate of 96.4%
